Die von mir Anfang März gekaufte Citic Pacific ist (unter anderem) ein TK-Wert. Hier mal der Orignaltext:
Telecom Network in China
Further to the announced acquisition of China telecom assets from with its parent company early this year, CP's shareholders approved the forming of a JV, Lucky Zone Enterprise Inc. The JV, owned by CP (60% interest), CITIC Beijing (20% interests) and Larry Yung (20% interests) will acquire the entire fixed optical fiber network installation in PRC from the People's
Liberation Army. Total investment will be around HK$1.9b (HK$1.1b for CITIC alone).
The backbone network will cover 23 provinces and municipalities and over 200 cities, reaching over 80% of the population in the mainland; with Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, and Shanghai as its center ring.
The network will be operational in 3Q to provide integrated telecom services including data, voice, video and other value added services. At the beginning stage, the network targets for operators at the wholesale level. Further to that, CP is now exploring the Internet phone business as well as an extension into the retail level.
The cable network operated by CITIC Guo An would complement this development. CP has announced to make an investment in 50% stake of Guo An for a consideration of HK$1.9b. It is subject to the approval of relevant authorities.
After a reorganization, Guo An will hold an interest in cable TV networks, 6% stake of China Unicom and four GSM networks, CITIC Securities (10%) and CITIC Building, Beijing (100%). The GSM networks are located in Shenyang, Tianjin, Wuhan and Chingdao.
With the backbone's 400G capacity and the adoption of the latest technology including Internet Protocol (IP) over Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM), we believe the company is well placed to tap the rapid telecom expansion in China in the years ahead.
The company also disclosed that they would invest in a high-speed interconnection platform in HK, linking up with the telecom network in mainland.
Ich denke Citic ist zwar schon ganz gut gelaufen, aber im Gegensatz zu vielen NM-Werten nicht zu übertrieben. Schließlich wächst der Markt dort gigantisch.
Grüße
