London, July 4 (Bloomberg) -- Marconi Plc, whose shares have dropped by two-thirds this year, suspended the stock from trading as the board of the U.K.'s largest phone equipment maker prepares a statement on its outlook.
``It's unlikely to be good news,'' said Stephen Martin, director of global equities at Royal & Sun Alliance Investment Management, which owns Marconi shares.
Marconi in May said it expected revenue to grow this year because business in Europe, where it makes almost half of its sales, would pick up at the end of the year. Since then, Nortel Networks Corp. has said the market is falling at an ``alarming rate,'' and other rivals have cut profit or sales forecasts.
