NEW YORK (Metal-Pages) 22-Jun-10. US spot prices for ferro-molybdenum and ferro-vanadium were unchanged in recent days following recent weakness, but molybdenum may have found new underlying strength based on a reversal in raw material prices.

US spot ferro-molybdenum prices remained in a range this week of $17.50-18.50/lb on a delivered-works basis, down from a range early in  the week of $18-19/lb delivered.

...war ja ganz ordentlich, aber an der NYSE wurde am Freitag mal eben das 11fache davon gehandelt.
Das war gleichzeitig das doppelte vom höchsten jemals gehandelten Tagesvolumen bei TCM.
Hier ist offenbar etwas Grösseres im Gange...

...waren offenbar doch ein gross angelegter Ausstieg.
Die "Eingeweihten" wussten offenbar mehr als der Rest der Marktteilnehmer, welche kräftig eingekauft haben.
Die aktuelle Marktlage sieht momentan äusserst  bescheiden aus...

(AMM)  Chinese moly exports seen bearish sign for US pricing

China became a net molybdenum exporter in May, one of the biggest factors behind a 22-percent correction in U.S. spot prices, and the situation could persist for the next several months, market participants said.

"The recent weakening in moly prices seems related to the China trade switch, and this may last for several more months yet," Macquarie Bank analysts said.

The Chinese haven't been quite as aggressive now that canned molybdic oxide prices have fallen to around $14 per pound, a U.S.-based physical molybdenum trader said.
