Potsdam's business inquiries on the rise

POTSDAM — Despite the looming recession, the growth of new business is good — maybe even better — in the village this year.

The number of startup firms seeking information about doing business in Potsdam rose last month over the same time in February 2007, village Planning and Development Director Frederick J. Hanss said. He said there is "way more" demand for space in the downtown business district.

"There is definitely a little uptick in the number of companies coming to Potsdam," Mr. Hanss said. "We have all of our irons in the fire right now, and people are still looking for a place to go."

He credits steady growth in the availability of technology and research from area colleges, Seaway Private Equity Corp.'s funding opportunities and the support of county and state governments.

"Not many areas can offer a package like that," he said. "Still, it makes me wonder why there's this interest all of a sudden, especially given that the economy has taken a downturn."

More firms also have been touring Snell Hall on Clarkson University's mostly empty downtown campus, which was often overlooked in the past.

The $2.2 million expansion of the Clarkson Small Business Incubator, in the college's downtown Peyton Hall, also has broadened opportunities for startups, Mr. Hanss said.

"We've been plugging away," said James A. Murphy, the village's economic development specialist.

meine Seaways wird der Wert bei der Postbank angezeigt: 0,00 Euro!!!

Das ist ja auch klar es wird ja auch abgerundet bei 0,004 Euro auf 0,00 Euro.
Die zeigen doch nur 2 Stellen hinter dem Komma an.

Wenn wir das heute schaffen was ich noch nicht glaube dann hast du bei 0,005 Euro nachher bei Postbank 0,01 Euro stehen.

Wo bei ich trotzdem Glaube wenn News kommen wird das pasieren was immer mit dem Kurs von Seaway immer pasiert.

Ich hoffe natülich selbst das der Kurs steigt weill ich selbst mit drin stecke und ich leider mit 25% gewinn nicht verkaufen wollte und jetzt haben meine Aktien nur noch 1/4 von den kaufwert.
Nun ist das zu spät zu vekaufen.

Ehrlich gesagt glaube ich noch an Seaway und werde die deshalb noch nicht mal für 0,02 Euro verkaufen.
Aber ich glaube nicht das der Tag heute ist wo der Kurs von Seaway stark und dauerhaft steigen wird.

Aber mann weiß die Börse tut ja öfters was sie will und was mann nicht erwartet.
