ROCKVILLE, Md., Oct 12, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- InforMax, Inc., a leading global provider of bioinformatics software solutions for accelerated drug discovery, today announced the release of Vector NTI Enterprise(TM), a shared database option to the Vector NTI(R) Suite 6.0 of desktop applications designed for scientists engaged in genomic and proteomic research.
Vector NTI Enterprise(TM) incorporates a shared Oracle(TM) database into a network of Vector NTI Suite applications designed to enable real-time collaboration among multiple researchers in a secure environment. Data can be transferred freely between the desktop database and the shared database. The Vector NTI Enterprise database can save all data types found in the Vector NTI Suite desktop database, as well as new data types such as BLAST results and ENTREZ searches.
Vector NTI Enterprise supports shared multi-user access and provides a new database Explorer to view the contents.
