Mongolia Coal Acquisition
March 14, 2008 - Vancouver, B.C. - Robert L. Card, President of Gulfside
Minerals Ltd. (the 'Company') is pleased
to report that it has signed a definitive agreement on its Mongolian coal
project.
Completion of the acquisition is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture
Exchange.
Once approval has been received, the Company will be issuing a
comprehensive news release outlining the details of the acquisition.
Norwest Corporation ('Norwest'), a world leader in coal consultancy based
in Salt Lake City, Utah, will finalize the NI 43-101 technical report on
the coal property. Title details will now be included to complete the NI
43-101 report and then filed with the appropriate regulatory authorities
for approval.
The Company also reports the resignation of Jürgen Wolf as a director of
the Company. Mr. Wolf is a director of several other companies and could
not devote the time that is required. The Company and the board of
directors thanks Mr. Wolf for his contribution to the Company over the
years and wish him success in his other ventures..
Concurrent with Mr. Wolf's resignation, the Company is pleased to welcome
Dr. Zigurts Strauts, Bsc MD to its Board of Directors. Dr. Strauts
graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bsc in geology. He later
went on to obtain his MD from the University of Calgary School of Medicine.
Dr. Strauts has been active as a consultant, entrepreneur and developer of
companies engaged in activities from software to mining.
