TEAM Communications Group, Inc. Expands Its Board of Directors With the Appointment of David Kenin
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 2000--David Kenin, a distinguished industry veteran with over thirty years of television experience in sports and entertainment programming, has joined the Board of Directors of TEAM Communications Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:TMTV - news; Neuer Markt:TME), it was announced today by Drew S. Levin, TEAM's Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.
A longstanding television executive, Mr. Kenin has enjoyed a prolific career in the sports and entertainment industries. During his tenure as president of CBS Sports from 1994 to 1996, Mr. Kenin bolstered the division by adding college football bowl games in addition to expanding coverage of NASCAR, the PGA tour, the U.S. Open tennis matches and figure skating. He departed from CBS to launch the media-consulting firm Kenin Partners, and has consulted in new technology, sports rights, and domestic and international television. Mr. Kenin also serves as a member of the board of directors of the World Wrestling Federation.
From 1982 to 1994, Mr. Kenin served as executive vice-president of USA Networks. As the cable network's senior programming executive, he was responsible for all original productions for the USA and the Sci-Fi Channels, and was instrumental in building USA into one of the highest-rated basic cable networks. Mr. Kenin has also held executive positions at television stations in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Kansas City and Chicago. A graduate of Long Island University, Mr. Kenin holds masters degrees from the University of Oregon and Syracuse University.
