BARRICK GOLD TO ANNOUNCE A CHANGE IN HEDGING PROGRAM
( 322 ) Feb 05, 10:31
We have JUST recieved an email communiqué to the effect:
"BARRICK GOLD Will announce change in hedging policy at 2 pm EST, Monday, February 7,
2000.
Please be adivised this is UNCONFIRMED. Furthermore, "a change in the hedging policy" does
not necessarily
mean to cease and desist all hedging operations in the future. Nonetheless, if indeed Barrick
Gold has finally seen the
light, and will follow Placer Dome's leadership in denouncing all hedging activities in the future,
the price of gold
should soar another $20-$30 by Tuesday. That being the case, there will be a slew of
announcements from gold
producers worldwide jumping on the bandwagon. Going forward No gold producer would dare
being labeled as a
"HEDGER," for fear of investors dumping its shares au masse.
Indubitably, this will confirm the gold bull - which officially began on September 27, 1999 ( just a
day after the
Washington Accord ) . Consequently, $400 to $500/oz gold is in the cards.

Gruß an alle
