der wert ist gestern sehr gut gelaufen. ich denke bis 8$ wird er noch gehen und dann warten wir das 4 quartal ab. für mich sehr aussichtsreich als analyst würde ich kursziel 20 $ für 2001 geben.

Virage beats estimates with narrower Q3 loss

SAN MATEO, Calif., Jan 23 (Reuters) - Virage Inc. (NASDAQ NM:VRGE), which provides software and services to carry video on the Internet, reported better-than-expected third-quarter revenues and a narrower-than-expected loss.
The company also said it has signed a deal to provide streaming Internet coverage of the 2001 U.S. professional baseball season.
Virage reported a loss of 29 cents a share in the quarter ended Dec. 31, excluding stock-based charges, beating the average analyst forecast for a 30-cent loss, according to First Call/ Thomson Financial.
Revenues rose 27 percent from the prior quarter to $3.3 million, edging past the consensus forecast of $3.2 million.
The San Mateo, Calif.-based company did not disclose terms for its deal with the online arm of Major League Baseball, but characterized it as a "multi-million dollar agreement."
Earlier in the quarter, Virage also announced that it had won a deal with Bertelsmann AG (:) to provide the software for streaming music videos on the Internet.
Virage shares jumped in after hours trade to $7-1/2 from $6-11/6 at the close of regular trade on the Nasdaq. The shares have lost about 17 percent so far this year.
