In the CC dated October 28th a private investor asked Dr. George about Magic Johnson; here is Dr G's response...

"We had originally – it was our plan to bring Magic Johnson on to the Board of Directors and Mr. Johnson has expressed his willingness to come onto the Board of Directors, but quite honestly, our Board is constituted, due to certain rules. We have to have so many independent directors and so many people who are not independent and the time has not yet presented itself yet when it seems good to bring Magic Johnson on. But it’s still being considered."

The way I read this - MJ is not going to profit the company until Rapid products are available for sale. When that happens Calypte will benefit from his celebrity status and it will result in sales revenue and a higher PPS.
When you think about it, his services are better used when he is in the public not in some board room making day to day decisions about the nuts & bolts of operating a business. Besides he's having too much fun being a super-star; why should he stop doing what he loves to do? For that reason, as far as I'm concerned, if he is on the BOD; fine but don't let it interfere with public speaking and make sure when he’s paid for his services it's for public appearances and not for deciding small mundane business decisions.

that doesn´t work. therfor they need the rapid test to check HIV-2...but they still not have all necessary approvals...

I see price dropping back to $ .25 by Friday close if HIV doesn't answer lingering questions about where they are going to get the cash to operate in 2005 and just what Magic Johnson's position with HIV will be.

Hopefully they will do that and explain how they will be able to sell their rapid tests at a profit in the broad $ 1 marketplace.

And don't get me started on Directors and Officers insurance or need for world wide products liability coverage.
