JAKARTA, Dec 3 (Reuters) - Jakarta stocks were mixed in early trade on Friday as the
market focused on Bank Bali
shares while selective buying in some blue
chips helped the index recover from early losses.
Bank Bali shares were sharply lower after resuming trade after being suspended since
August 12, but buying interest emerged in the benchmarks Telkom and
Astra International .
After falling around four points earlier, at 0311 GMT the Jakarta composite index
<.JKSE> was up 1.28 points or 0.2 percent at 599.67 points.
Bank Bali was down 125 rupiah, or 17.24 percent, at 600. The shares were the most
active in the market, with 25.5 million traded.
Telkom was up 25 rupiah at 3,325 while automotive firm Astra was up 75 rupiah at 3,675.
