Gold in Europa klingt im ersten Moment immer ein bisschen eigenartig in den
Ohren. Doch es ist wahr, bis in den späten 70er Jahren wurde noch in einigen
europäischen Gebieten Gold abgebaut. Der später sehr niedrige Goldpreis machte
den Abbau für die meisten Unternehmen unrentabel und Aktivitäten wurden
eingestellt. Aktuell sind Goldwerte an den internationalen Kapitalmärkten stark
nachgefragt.

TOURNIGAN GOLD könnte die ganz große Antwort werden.

Die sehr aussichtsreichen Gebiete "Curraghinalt" und "Tyrone" in Nordirland
könnten für Tournigan ein erster großer Schritt sein. Innerhalb der
Untertageminenschächte sollen sich allein Ressourcen von 250.000 Feinunzen Gold
befinden, bei einem überdurchschnittlichem Goldgehalt von knapp 17g/t. Das
gesamte Gebiet in Nordirland erstreckt sich über 1.150 Quadratkilometer.

Hier liegt noch weiteres großes Potenzial. Erste Maßnahmen in Nordirland sollten
in Kürze bekannt gegeben werden, was dem Aktienkurs weitere Phantasie geben
könnte. Außerdem könnte der angekündigte Kauf des "Kremnica"-Projektes in der
Slowakei eine sehr große Chance sein. Mit einem Aufkommen von rund 1,1 Mio.
Feinunzen Gold sollte man über eine Neubewertung des Unternehmens nachdenken.
Auch zu der Slowakei sollte man weitere Meldungen erwarten.

FAZIT: Strong Buy. Tournigan Gold scheint für uns absolut unterbewertet und ist
mit dem Ziel, eine der führenden europäischen Goldexplorer-/Mininggesellschaften
zu werden, für uns ein deutlicher Kauf. Ein qualifiziertes Management,
aussichtsreiche Projekte und die Möglichkeit, noch weitere interessante Projekte
zu erwerben, geben Tournigan Gold enormes Wachstumspotenzial. Schon erste
Meldungen seitens des Unternehmens könnten für eine deutliche Kurssteigerung
sorgen. Tournigan gehört daher unbedingt in jedes Depot als eine spekulative
Beimischung.

Tournigan believes that the above drill results represent a major extension of strike length of the Curraghinalt vein system. Trenching followed by drilling is planned in this area in the near future.

In addition, mineralized quartz veins, similar to those at Curraghinalt, have been discovered approximately 5 kilometres to the northwest and along strike in an area called Golan Burn. According to public records, preliminary trenching and drilling in this area by previous operators resulted in several significant assays as follows:

The above results suggest the possibility of a mineralized corridor some 7 kilometres long extending from Curraghinalt to Golan Burn. Recently initiated work will focus on extending the Curraghinalt veins within this corridor and thereby potentially greatly increasing the known resources. Geophysical (VLF) and geochemical surveys has commenced and will be followed by trenching and drilling.

As part of the exploration program detailed structural geological mapping of the Curraghinalt veins exposed in the underground workings is underway. To date, this work has resulted in the recognition of at least one new vein as well as the positive observation that faulting of the veins has resulted in minimal displacements allowing for continuous mining. Furthermore, early results have started to define the orientation, dimension and possible predictability of the bonanza-type ore shoots seen in the workings. Extensive historical underground sampling on the T17 vein had returned values of 126.37 g/t and 98.65 g/t gold over true widths of 2.73 and 1.95 metres, respectively. Detailed mapping has shown that this vein refracts and dilates as it crosses from one rock type into another. In addition, a secondary structural control has been observed where the T17 vein crosses a shear zone that transects the property. At this intersection the vein expands to up to 6 metres in width. The intersection of the T17 and other veins with these two features have therefore become a focus for further exploration. The veins at Curraghinalt have been categorized as mesothermal and as such are considered to have depth potential much greater than has been established.

It is anticipated that the information derived from this detailed structural geological mapping work will have major implications for development and mining of the of the Curraghinalt veins as well as help to direct exploration both within the immediate area and over the 346 square kilometre property.

Tournigan's goal is to commence gold production on the Curraghinalt vein system as soon as possible. Consequently, the process of obtaining planning consent to build and operate a mine at Curraghinalt has been recently initiated with government planning authorities in Belfast.

Drilling on the Glenlark prospect is expected to begin in mid-June. Although in the same geological environment and only six kilometres from Curraghinalt, Glenlark appears to be a substantial occurrence of stratabound gold-silver-lead-zinc mineralization. Results of previous trenching, geophysical and geochemical surveys suggest that this target could have a strike length of several kilometres. In addition, numerous boulders litter the area that contain significant precious metal values.

Lastly, with regard to Tournigan's option to purchase the Kremnica gold deposit in Slovakia announced on March 19, due diligence work is close to completion. Previous work at Kremnica has outlined a deposit containing a resource of 1.1 million ounces of gold.

Wenn nur die Hälfte wahr ist, dann sind das bei einem aktuellen Preis von 324,80 US$
pro Feinunze mal eben schlappe 220 Mio. US$ (-Produktionskosten natürlich)  

sollen ja bald beginnen. Das interessante an Tournigan ist, dass dieses Unternehmen wirklich bei Stunde Null steht und man hier von Anfang an dabei ist.

Zu den 250.000 Feinunzen Gold: Hierbei geht es ja um die Goldressourcen in den Untertageminenschächten. Man bedenke, die Ressource beinhaltet 1.150 km². Diese Fläche muss noch bearbeitet werden, sicherlich handelt es sich hier um weit mehr Goldressourcen.  

9 Million Feinunzen (a 4,50 Us$) Silber. Buffet hat das bereits 1998 erkannt.

Consequently, a Purchase Notice has been provided to the vendor, Argosy Minerals Inc, which sets out a maximum 45 day period to complete the closing of this transaction.

Innerhalb der 45 Tages Frist sollten wir wissen ob Kremnica von Agosy übernommen wird!

Deshalb spekuliere ich auf News in der nächsten Zeit und auf einen weiteren Kursgewinn.

Tournigan Gold Expands Its European Gold Projects From Ireland To Slovakia.


The safe route for a Canadian junior is to stick to projects in north or south America with which Canadian investors feel comfortable. Tournigan Gold , under Damien Reynolds went the conventional route with a project in San Salvador, but then decided that Europe was an ideal target. Its first step in this direction in September last year was an agreement to buy up to a 75 per cent interest in the Omagh gold project in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland from another Canadian company, European Gold.. This was followed in November by a deal with Gren Thomas’s Strongbow Resources to acquire a similar stake in the Curraghinalt and Tyrone gold projects, also in Northern Ireland.

Work had been done on the Omagh project by Rio Tinto back in the 80s and this resulted in the identification of at least fifteen mineralised structures in the eastern third of the concession. One such structure, known as the Kearney structure, located in the southeast part of the property has been the subject of most of the detailed exploration work. A lot of trenching a diamond drilling resulted in a resource estimate of approximately 300,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 7 grams of gold per tonne. It was this that attracted European Gold on the basis that a small mining operation could be set up at Cavanacaw to provide pure Irish gold for pure Irish jewellery which could be sold at a hefty premium. Galantas Gold appeared in 2000 with a lot of publicity presenting a gold shamrock to President Clinton, but a look at its website shows that little has happened since 2001.

Local rumour had it that there was not sufficient gold being produced to make the jewellery. Maybe this is why the deal with Tournigan never materialised. It would have been impossible to disguise the level of gold production during a due diligence operation. Damien Reynolds is not disappointed as Curraghinalt and Tyrone offer much more potential, but he is annoyed at the time wasted. The pace, however, has picked up at Curraghinalt where Strongbow had reported that a resource of 470,000 tonnes at an average grade of 16.96 grams of gold per tonne containing approximately 250,000 ounces of gold had been defined by trenching, drilling and 700 metres of underground development. A series of high-grade quartz veins had been discovered, some of which have been traced up to 2 kilometres along strike and Tournigan came into the deal on the basis that there was plenty of potential to increase this resource significantly..

A field office has now been opened and initial work is focused on extending the strike extensions of the Curraghinalt vein system. Drilling carried out by previous operators support this theory as a number of holes were located approximately 200 to 800 metres to the southeast of the Curraghinalt resource, drilled to less than 150 metres from the surface and were not included in the Curraghinalt resource. Intercepts of up to 2 metres graded around 15 g/t and trenching followed by drilling is planned in this area in the near future. In addition, mineralised quartz veins, similar to those at Curraghinalt, have been discovered approximately 5 kms to the northwest and along strike in an area called Golan Burn which indicates that there could be a mineralised corridor stretching all the way.

The Tyrone project covers the balance of the property and contains showings of both quartz vein mineralization, as well as stratabound disseminated to semi-massive gold-bearing sulphide mineralization. Trenching by Strongbow last year in the Glenlark region, which is only 6 kms from Curraghinalt, returned a reported 21 metre interval of stratabound gold bearing mineralisation with a weighted average of 2.55 g/t gold and follow-up drilling will start later this month. Tournigan's priority, however, is on generating cash flow as quickly as possible. Damien Reynolds reckons that it should be possible to start gold production on the Curraghinalt vein system within 18 to 24 months and the process of obtaining planning consent to build and operate a mine with government planning authorities in Belfast is already in motion.

Tournigan’s ambitions in Europe go east as far as the Black Sea and in March it announced that it had acquired an option to purchase 100 per cent of the Kremnica gold deposit in Slovakia from Argosy Minerals. A due diligence programme has just been completed so Tournigan will have to hand over the payment of C$500,000 in cash in just over a month to add a further advanced gold project to its portfolio. Kremnica is a low sulphidation epithermal gold system with a long mining history. The total in-situ geological resource based on exploration to date reported by Argosy is 1.1 million ounces of gold and 9.0 million ounces of silver, but a number of holes were drilled in 1996 and 97 which extended the known limits of mineralisation and identified new targets both north and south of Sturec. This is the main zone containing 85 per cent of the gold and there are two others called Vratislav and Wolf. Kremnica therefore offers Tournigan its favoured combination of early development combined with plenty of upside potential from exploration. As its expansion in Europe progresses an office and listing in London will make a lot of sense.

Nachvollziehbar, denn letztlich ist Tournigan Gold eine europäische Goldstory. Von dem Projekt in Irland sollten wir bald erste Drillingergebnisse bekommen, der Kauf des Kremnica-Projektes in die Slowakei sollte dann auch bald abgeschlossen sein. Alles in allem steckt noch gewaltige Phantasie in Tournigan und somit mögliche Power für die Aktie!

Ich finde es toll das sich eine Firma mal Europa als Goldgebiet vornimmt.
Es muß nicht immer Argentinien, Kanada, Mongolei, Angola, Kasachstan sein.

Auch Irland und die Slovakei haben ihre Phantasien.

Als Meilenstein für die Firma würde ich die Übernahme des Kremnica Projektes sehen. Die 1,1 Mio Unzen wurden bereits von einem unabhängigen Geologen verifiziert!

Tournigan Gold to Mobilize Second Drill in Northern Ireland

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Tournigan Gold Corporation (TVC:TSX.V) has scheduled a second diamond drill to start drilling on the Tyrone Project in Northern Ireland. The 346 square kilometre licence is centered on the Curraghinalt gold deposit. Several prospects have been identified on the Tyrone Project and diamond drilling started last week at Glenlark, currently the most advanced prospect. (See June 13, 2003 Press Release). The second drill will start work at Glenlark where the first of five preliminary drillholes has recently been completed.



In addition to the drilling at Glenlark, Tournigan`s exploration program is investigating strike extensions to the Curraghinalt resource. A trenching program is underway across the eastern extension of the Curraghinalt vein system. A number of veins have been exposed, some of which appear to be extensions of known veins and others possible new discoveries. At Golan Burn, located three kilometres west of the Curraghinalt deposit, possible extensions of the Curraghinalt vein system are being traced with geochemical and geophysical surveys. It is anticipated that this work will result in the identification of new targets that will be trenched and possibly drilled in the near future.
