Headquartered in San Diego, Calif., ImmunityBio is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing cancer immunotherapies and vaccines, including the Anktiva platform.

According to the Complaint, throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and misleading statements about the capabilities of Anktiva. Specifically, the Complaint alleges that during an appearance on a podcast, Chief Scientific and Medical Officer Patrick Soon-Shiong claimed that Anktiva can cure and even prevent all cancer.

When the true details entered the market, ImmunityBio's stock declined by $1.98 per share, more than 21%, to close at $7.42 per share on March 24, 2026.
