Die Aktie des Biotechnologieunternehmens Viragen Inc. steht heute an der AMEX hoch im Kurs. Bei einem Handelsvolumen von rund 46 Mio. Aktien steigt der Pennystock aktuell um 391,67 Prozent an. Grund ist ein neues Patent des Unternehmens zur Behandlung der Lungenkrankheit SARS.
Natürliches, von menschlichen weißen Blutkörperchen abgeleitetes Alpha-Interferon soll demnach als Vorbeugemittel gegen SARS und andere akute Atemwegserkrankungen eingesetzt werden. In einer Presseerklärung teilte William Stimson, Chef der Research-Abteilung von Viragen, mit, dass das Stoffwechselprodukt bereits in früheren Studien als Hauptkandidat zur Behandlung von SARS hervorgehoben wurde.

Interferon ist ein Zellstoffwechselprodukt, das das Wachstum von Viren in der Zelle hemmen kann.

Aktuell steht die Aktie bei 0,59 Dollar.

The Natural Choice

Viragen has observed that in many cases, especially when higher dosages are required, its natural interferon appears to offer many advantages to recombinant interferon regimens, particularly against viral diseases:

Mensch, in Hartcourt bin ich doch drin, hast Du mich nicht in den Hartcourt-Threads gesehen, ich habe einige Postings dort abgegeben.

Zu Calypte muss ich sagen, dass mir die Aktie ein Buch mit 7 Siegeln ist, die dümpelt da unter 2 Cent rum mit einem nicht schlechtem Umsatzvolumen (in USA jedenfalls). Wenn die natürlich abgeht, da dann. Du hast doch 2 Mio. Stk. von den Dingern, die würde ich natürlich liegen lassen...

bezahlen!!! Ich denke es ist ein reiner Zockerwert. Springt in USA wahrscheinlich nochmals an wäre mit 0,5 € aber schon zu frieden. Mal sehen wo es hingeht.
Kann aber auch in die Hose gehen, wenn man bedenkt wo die Kiste herkommt...

Und ausserdem haben sie das Patent ja nur beantragt, d.h. es ist noch nicht genehmigt und bis dann das Medikament auf dem Markt ist und vertrieben werden kann, können Jahre vergehen.

Wie gesagt, für ein Substantielles Investement nicht geeignet, zum "Zocken" und "Spielen" mit Spielgeld, ok.

Im Vorfeld werden die Pressemitteilungen nur so rausgehauen - jeden Tag wird eine neue Sau durchs Dorf gejagt.
Auch heute wieder mehrere Unternehmen mit ca. 50% Kurssprung. Ob da irgendwas wirklich fundamentales dabei ist, muss sich erst noch zeigen.
Eins ist zumindest sicher, in 2 Wochen wirds erstmal wieder ruhig.

Nach einem Anstieg um mehrere 100% ist durchaus mal Verkaufsdruck auf dem Wert.

wird schon im bereich um 0,40-0,50 cent liegen

ich sehe das als klaren kauf, der kurs ist super. Wo man bedenken muss das die aktie den tiefsten stand bei 0,10 hatte

Was ist denn mit Caly, läuft wohl doch nicht so wie es laufen sollte? Schau Dir mal BinTec an, die hat heute schon 200% gemacht, ich verstehe nur nicht warum. BinTec wird von Funkwerk übernommen, aber nur die Vertriebs-GmbH nicht der AG-Mantel - ergo die Aktie von BinTec
ist "eigentlich" nichts mehr Wert, aber sie steigt? Ich kapier gar nichts mehr...

in Viragen (VRA) this morning as the stock dips 4.6% on 248,650 Island shares.

VRA soared 258% in Tuesday's regular session after the company announced it
filed a patent application covering the use of natural human leukocyte-derived
alpha interferon for the treatment and prevention of severe acute respiratory
syndrome (SARS).

Stock is seeing volatile swings in the red, opening the door for quick-fingered
shorts.

So dann müssten wir ja wohl die "Shorties" von gestern aus dem Markt haben. Denke nicht dass sie den Wert noch weiter runter drücken!

nichts besonderes. Du mußt mal überlegen, dass einige (glückliche) Trader in den ersten Handelminuten fast von Anfang an dabei waren u. natürlich abstoßen.

SARS wird uns noch die nächsten Jahre beschäfigten. VRA hat noch mega-riese-Potential.

Das hier ist kein gepushe, da amerkanische Titel mit hohem Handelsvolumen niemals von Deutschland aus gepusht werden können.

Ich bin absolut 100%tig überzeugt, dass wir in den nächsten Wochen dicke Gewinne sehen werden.

das hört sich wirklich nicht schlecht an...

in hoffnung voller erwartungen ist es bald so weit, man oh man dieses hin und her macht mein Herz bald nicht mehr mit.
Doch sieht man eine festigung im Wert.
Gut das ich gestern nochmals 30.000 tsd gekauft habe zu 0,24, hat sich bislang völlig gelohnt der nachkauf.

Fundamental sieht es ja schon eher düster aus. Hier treibt lediglich die "SARS" Phantasie. Bei Multexinvestor bekommt "Viragen" eine 1 bei einer Skala von 10.

1 ist die höchste Risikostufe (very high risk)...

Von der Patenterteilung bis zur medikamentären Nutzung kann noch sehr viel Zeit vergehen!

The majority of alpha interferons that are marketed are single-subtype recombinant interferons. Therapy resistance is not unusual with recombinant interferons with a significant percentage of patients failing to respond to standard therapy. The Natural Choice

Viragen believes that in many cases, especially when higher dosages are required, its natural interferon appears to offer substantial advantages to recombinant interferon regimens:

Natural interferon is very similar to interferon secreted by the human immune system during a normal virus infection, significantly lowering the risk of the drug being rejected.


Natural interferon contains the multiple subtype composition that is characteristic of interferon produced by the human body. It is believed that this may result in a broader spectrum of anti-viral activity with each subtype perhaps showing a specific biological activity.

PLANTATION, Fla., May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Viragen, Inc. (Amex: VRA - News) today corrected erroneous information contained in a preliminary prospectus included in a Form S3 that the Company filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) this morning.
The filing incorrectly states that, "We (Viragen) do not currently meet minimum bid price requirements of the American Stock Exchange (AMEX), and if we are delisted from the American Stock Exchange, the trading market for our common stock could be eliminated." Viragen currently meets AMEX maintenance criteria and is considered in good standing. The Company has no reason to believe that it is a candidate for possible delisting. The Company will immediately amend its Form S3 and file the corrected document with the SEC.

VRA ist nichts für schwache Nerven. Aber nachdem die "Ente" mit dem anstehenden "Delisting" dementiert wurde wirds wieder hochgehen.
Habe den Kursrückschlag genutzt um mich wieder einzudecken! ;-)

Ich werde meine Viragen halten und erst einmal den 25.Juni abwarten,außerdem haben die auch noch andere Mediekamente.China Pharma mit der WKN 548183 tragen auch ihren Beitrag zu SARS bei,in drei Tagen von 0,30 auf 0,34 und weiter.Gering bewertet und Weltmarktführer von Vitamin C.und Antibiotika was unter anderem auch bei SARS-Krankeitsfällen zum einsatz kommt.Kannst du mir etwas über British Energy WKN 924924 sagen?Die besitzen einen 50% Aktienanteil an Amergen Power,den sie verkaufen müssen um einen Kredit von der Regierung zu bekommen u.s.w.

zu 0,20 cent kann ich jedem nur empfehlen zu zuschlagen, das Ding ist heut nun wirklich günstig.
