American Trucking Association (ATA) Chief Economist Bob Costello commented that he expects the "truck freight tonnage to grow modestly during the first half of 2011 and accelerate in the latter half of the year into 2012."

Industry heavyweight YRC Worldwide has not been unable to join in the industry's modest rally. Shares of the company are near 52 week lows following an announcement from management claiming that the possibility is bankruptcy is serious after the company missed a restructuring milestone. YRC failed to satisfy its Pension Fund condition by the required date, leading the company's creditors to declare YRC Worldwide having defaulted on its credit agreements.

Marktkapitalisierung
Bezeichnung für den aktuellen Börsenwert eines Unternehmens. Errechnet wird sie durch die Anzahl der Aktien multipliziert mit dem Aktienkurs. Die Marktkapitalisierung entspricht also auch dem Preis, den ein Käufer für sämtliche umlaufenden Aktien eines Unternehmens - also eine komplette Übernahme - bezahlen müsste.
Und bei YRC müsste er die kompletten Schulden übernehmen und in die Restrukturierungsvereinbarungen einsteigen. Wir wollen auch nicht die gekappten Pensionszahlungen vergessen.
Und dann noch die KE, evtl. Q1-Zahlen, die nicht den Erwartungen entsprechen. Wie nah YRC am Abgrund steht, wenn ein Strohhalm knickt, haben wir bei dem Super-Gau "Milestone-failure" gesehen.
Im Übrigen sagen die Frachtzahlen nix über die Margen aus. Und Trucks brauchen Sprit, der teurer geworden ist. YRC muss endlich Geld verdienen und nicht seine "earnings-per-share" über Steuerrückerstattungen erzielen.
Also - so blau ist der Himmel nicht.
