London, UK, June 24, 2021:  Shield Therapeutics plc (LSE: STX), a commercial stage, pharmaceutical company with a focus on addressing iron deficiency with its lead product Feraccru®/Accrufer® (ferric maltol), confirms that, in line with prior guidance, it will launch Accrufer® in the US on July 1, 2021.

Launch stocks of Accrufer® are currently being distributed through the wholesaler channels and will be available to doctors and other prescribers in all parts of the US by July 1, 2021.  A sales force including 30 sales representatives has been recruited and trained and will be starting to contact key prescribers during next week.

Greg Madison, CEO of Shield, said “We are pleased to make Accrufer® available to physicians and their patients in the US. Iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia are significant challenges for millions of patients. Accrufer® represents a novel form of oral iron which offers clinical effectiveness while being well tolerated in clinical trials, and has the potential to be a significant advance for those patients in the US."

Hier die News. Das gibt neue Einnahmequellen und stellt einen weiteren Absatzmarkt für Accrufer dar. Im Gegensatz zu dem Ansatz in den USA organisiert hier eine PArtnerfirma den Vertrieb.

Es sind tolle News, diesen Markt in Südkorea zu erschließen und so Accrufer / Ferracru immer bekannter zu machen.

Nächste Woche Di kommen die Zahlen. Verstößt zwar gegen Grundsätze an der Börse. Ich habe trotzdem vorher aufgestockt.

Share price aktuell um 10-15 % runter. Hier wird erstmal noch ein längerer Atem gebraucht.

Aus den Ergebnissen oben sind Feraccru-Umsätze für H1 i.H.v. 0,5 Mio £ in Europa enthalten. Das sind jeweils 50 % Zuwachs ggü H1 und H2 2020. Das Management erwartet weiterhin ähnliche Wachstumsraten in Europa. Das bedeutet für die nächste Zukunft:

H2 2021: ca. 0,75 Mio £
H1 2022: ca. 1,125 Mio £
H2 2022: ca. 1,675 Mio £

Viel hängt jetzt vom Launch von Accrufer in den USA ab. Zahlen dazu wird es mit dem nächsten H-Report geben. Das wird also im Februar / März 2022 der Fall sein.

Weitere Märkte, die gerade / zukünftig entwickelt werden: Südkorea und China. Es sollte demnach weiterhin Wachstumspotential geben. Gerade China könnte interessant werden.

Shield is a commercial-stage pharma company delivering specialty products that address patients' unmet medical needs, with an initial focus on iron deficiency (ID). Since its US launch in July 2021, Shield has been increasing physician awareness of the differentiating characteristics of Accrufer® as an oral ID drug, with the aim of generating prescription (Rx) growth and sales traction. Positive momentum in 2H'22 should be accelerated substantially in 2023, with Viatris as its new commercial partner, and increased resources from a capital increase. In the event that the US goals are achieved, there would be considerable upside potential to the valuation.
