Pioneer Resources intersects more high value caesium mineralisation
Highlights include 7 metres at 16.2% caesium oxide. More assays expected.
Pioneer Resources (ASX:PIO) has intersected further high grade pollucite, a high value caesium mineral, at the 100% owned Pioneer Doom project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.
Highlights include 7 metres at 16.2% caesium oxide and more assays are expected later this month.
Pioneer intends to continue exploration within the Pioneer Dome for deposits of lithium-bearing spodumene and caesium with drilling planned for the first quarter of 2017.
Development options are being investigated for the pollucite discovery, as more information becomes available.
David Crook, managing director, commented: ”The drilling program has successfully outlined a lens of the very high value caesium mineral, Pollucite.
“This provides incentive for the company to evaluate the economics of the discovery as a supply source for boutique scale caesium formate production, which is much in demand.”
