South African Service Provider Autopage Implements LHS' BSCS
Autopage is LHS' 15th BSCS Customer on African Continent Serves Vodacom and MTN South Africa
ATLANTA & FRANKFURT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 2000-- LHS Group Inc. (NASDAQ: LHSG - news; Neuer Markt: LHI) announced today that Autopage, a major South African communications service provider, is implementing LHS' customer care and billing system BSCS 5.21. Autopage offers telecommunication services to Vodacom and MTN South Africa, two large GSM network operators.
``Autopage is a perfect example of our global market strategy to bring software solutions to clients with particular operational and marketing challenges,'' commented Gary Cuccio, President and CEO of LHS Group. ``We are pleased to be instrumental in further enhancing Autopage's market position and ability to compete aggressively for new customers.''
``This particular BSCS implementation is unique in that it will support two different CDR (Call Detail Records) formats. The two telecommunication operators Autopage will serve, Vodacom and MTN, will be able to retain their accustomed formats, with Autopage operating the customer billing and all other service offerings as if there were only one data protocol,'' states Jan Linders, LHS Vice President. ``Autopage is the leading company in the South African telecommunications market. Our BSCS installation will enable Autopage to easily meet the growing demands of its customers and increase in end-users through the scalability of BSCS' billing function.''
