First Horizon off despite better than expected Q3 net (FHRX) By Michael Baron
First Horizon Pharmaceutical (FHRX) is down 57 cents, or 13 percent, to $3.82, in early action. After Wednesday's closing bell, the Alpharetta, Ga., drug firm posted pro forma earnings of $2.4 million, or 7 cents a share, a penny above Wall Street's consensus estimate, but below its year-ago equivalent profit of $3.2 million, or 11 cents a share. Including items, First Horizon earned $138,000, or break even on a per share basis, in the latest quarter. Looking ahead, the company sees earnings of 13 to 14 cents a share on revenue of $32 million to $34 million in the fourth quarter. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call are currently looking for a profit of 13 cents a share on revenue of $33.1 million in the quarter, on average.
