"The Wall Street Journal broke big news for the global alcohol and cannabis industries today, detailing an investment by Constellation Brands (NYSE: STZ) into Canadian licensed cannabis producer Canopy Growth (TSX: WEED) (OTC: TWMJF). Constellation will acquire 9.9% of Canopy Growth for C$245mm, which at the current exchange rate is equal to about US$191mm. It also has an option to increase the stake to 20%."

Constellation Brands (NYSE:STZ) kauft sich mit knapp 10% (245 Mio. $) beim Marktführer Canopy Growth ein. Der ein oder andere kennt den Hersteller wahrscheinlich nicht, aber deren Bestseller -das gute Corona-Bier :-) Gibt es künftig Cannarona?

Egal was der Markt daraus macht,  es beflügelt die Phantasie aller MJ-Stocks - und dementsprechend  geht heute der gesamte Sektor durch die Decke. Der LP-Index legt 5,39% zu und weist somit eine 2017er YTD-Performance von 21,05% auf.
Verlierer gibt es heute quasi keine, ausser The Hydropothecary, die ihr anfängliches Plus nicht halten konnten und mit einem kleinen Minus von 0,45% leicht nachgeben. Es sah erst so aus, als wolle der Breakout gelingen, die Hürde war aber offensichtlich für den heutigen Tag definitiv zu hoch.

Bei Cannopy und Auscann steigt es momentan extrem. Was denkt Ihr? Gehts weiter nach oben und wenn ja wohin?

Hatte Canopy bei 1,50 Euro und viel zu früh verkauft letztes Jahr! Aua!

Was ist eigtl mit Veritas Pharma? Ich denke ziemlich unterbewertet, gerade mal 11 Millionen Market Cap. Und Veritas hat ein sehr interessantes Geschäft, Cannabis-Inhaltsstoffe extrahieren für gezielte  Medikamente.

Klingt nach einer rosigen Zukunft, zumindest von der Idee und Anspruch her :)

AusCann Group Holdings Ltd (ASX:AC8) through its 50:50 joint venture in Chile, DayaCann, has secured its second cultivation licence for its second medical cannabis crop.

This is the only licence granted in Chile to cultivate medical cannabis and allows the joint venture to commence cultivation activities.

The DayaCann joint venture will commence planting crops immediately at its licensed 30-hectare facility south of Santiago, Chile.

The licence follows the successful harvest of 400 plants earlier this year that provided a range of chemotypes to be used in initial trial formulations.

DayaCann is currently the only licensed producer in Chile, giving it a key competitive advantage in a growing market.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO ALLOW CANNABIS EXPORT

Politik in Amerika ist doch erstmal egal. Die großen Player aus Kanada sind auf dem unsicheren u.s. Markt doch noch garnicht aktiv. Warten erst einmal ab wann es auf u.s. Staats Seite komplett legalisiert wird. Und nicht nur in einigen Bundesstaaten. In diesem Sommer 2018 wird es aller Voraussicht nach in Kanada für alle private legalisiert. Darauf kommt es an. Sie konsentrieren sich außerdem auf Länder wo Rechtssicherheit gegeben ist. US Markt ist für die Zukunft natürlich auch sehr interessant. Ausbau des medizinischen Cannabis, im Anschluss private consumer market worldwide .das ist der Fahrplan meiner Meinung nach....

Ja so sehe ich das auch. Bin zwar leider zu spät (aus jetziger Sicht) auf den Zug aufgesprungen habe mich aber mit dem Thema mal ausführlich beschäftigt. Denke da wird in Zukunft noch einiges bewegt werden weshalb ich trotz Verlusten die Aktien weiter halten werde und hoffe mal auf den Sommer wo es in Kanada ja frei gegeben werden soll. Bin also hier long eingestellt und bin guter Dinge, auch wenns jetzt mal 2 Tage nach unten ging.
