Bvsn und CMGI verhielten sich zeitversetzt fast immer gleich. Bei Bvsn habe ich meinen letzten Versuch schon etwas länger hinter mir.

Zu 66 Cent will ich sie haben. Das Tagesvolumen ist heute wieder weit überdurchschnittlich. Schon mehr als eine Million gehandelt. Vielleicht wird es ja so wie Freitag.
Hast du mitgefiebert ? Für dich ist sowas doch wohl eher langweilig.
aber nie im Depot gehabt. Ist aber stark abhängig vom allgemeinen Markt.

CMGI [Nasdaq: CMGI ] und Internet Capital Group [Nasdaq: ICGE ] (ICG): im Bärenmarkt das Synonym für Kursverluste – und so beliebt wie Fußpilz. Ende der 90er-Jahre war das ganz anders. Damals machte zunächst CMGI Beteiligungsgesellschaften Salon fähig. Das Unternehmen um den ehemaligen Vorstandschef David Wetherell kaufte sich günstig bei Internetfirmen ein und platzierte sie anschließend mit riesigem Gewinn am Kapitalmarkt.
Die Investoren waren begeistert und pumpten die Aktien von CMGI auf annähernd 150 Dollar auf. Die Marktkapitalisierung Anfang 2000: 50 Milliarden Dollar. Noch etwas höher wurde ICG gehandelt, eine Gesellschaft, die sich auf Beteiligungen im B2B-Sektor spezialisiert hatte.
Als die Euphorie an Wall Street ab Frühjahr 2000 ob der fallenden Kurse immer mehr in Panik und Verzweiflung umschlug, erwischte es die beiden Highflyer besonders schlimm. Innerhalb von zwei Jahren verkamen beide Aktien zu Pennystocks und die Vorstände wünschten sich, sie hätten die ganzen Aktiensplitts nie durchgeführt.

In dieser Zeit zeigte sich die Kehrseite der Medaille bei Beteiligungsfirmen. Die "Töchter" verschlangen haufenweise Geld und der klassische Exit, der Börsengang, blieb wegen der Börsenflaute verschlossen. Das Thema Beteiligung schien für die Anleger "gegessen" zu sein.
Umso erstaunlicher ist es, dass die Titel beider Firmen in den letzten Wochen massive Lebenszeichen von sich gegeben haben. So stiegen CMGI vom 07.Oktober bis zum 08.November auf 0,78 Dollar – ein Plus von 143 Prozent. Die Aktien von Internet Capital Group explodierten im gleichen Zeitraum um 276 Prozent auf 0,64 Dollar.
Aber was steckt dahinter? Sind die Kursanstiege aus fundamentaler Sicht gerechtfertigt, oder nur wieder das Ergebnis des weit verbreiteten Spekulantentums? Fakt ist, dass sowohl Internet Capital Group, als auch CMGI in den Miesen wirtschaften. Der Gewinn bei ICG im dritten Quartal – 13 Millionen Dollar – ist im Wesentlichen dem Rückkauf von Anleihen (unter dem Nominalwert) zu verdanken. Ohne diesen Effekt hätte die Firma einen Verlust von 30 Millionen Dollar erlitten. Zum Ende des Quartals verfügte ICG über 118 Millionen Dollar an Barmitteln.
Das hört sich gut an, ist es aber nur bedingt. In den drei Berichtsmonaten wurden 22 Millionen Dollar an die Tochterfirmen überwiesen. Ginge es in diesem Tempo weiter, dann wäre ICG in fünf Quartalen platt. Von den wenigen börsennotierten Töchtern, vier an Zahl (eMerge Interactive, Universal Access, VerticalNet, Onvia.com), ist keine Hilfe zu erwarten, die Firmen kämpfen selber ums Überleben.
Drastische Sparmaßnahmen
Obwohl Internet Capital drastisch Kosten eingespart hat, indem die größten Verlustbringer verkauft wurden, ist die Firma noch nicht gerettet. 37 Töchter wollen gefüttert werden, sprich, sie benötigen Geld zum wirtschaften. Solange an Wall Street keine nachhaltige Erholung bei den Kursen einsetzt und sich die Anleger nicht für Neuemissionen interessieren, solange sind die Titel nur etwas für risikofreudige Spekulanten.
Gleiches gilt für CMGI. Die Firmenlenker haben alles über Bord geworfen, was nach Geldvernichtung aussah. Diese Maßnahmen resultierten im vierten Quartal (bis 31.Juli) verglichen mit dem Vorjahr in einem geringeren Verlust. Trotzdem: bei Umsatzerlösen von 145 Millionen Dollar wies CMGI einen Fehlbetrag (netto) von 216 Millionen Dollar aus.
Selbst ohne die 30 Millionen Dollar, die dabei auf Aktivitäten entfielen, die beendet wurden, ist der Fehlbetrag (186 Millionen) noch höher als die Erlöse. Das operative Ergebnis (ohne Abschreibungen, Restrukturierungskosten, etc.) betrug im vierten Quartal 50 Millionen Dollar. Ende des vierten Quartal verfügte CMGI über liquide Mittel von 257 Millionen Dollar. Allerdings verhält es sich hier genauso wie bei ICG, denn die Barmittel reichen theoretisch nur noch für sechs Quartale.
Fazit: Immer wenn es an Wall Street nach oben geht und sich die Notierungen im Technologiesektor erholen, stoßen die Anleger auf ihre früheren Lieblinge. Und der Fairness halber sei angemerkt, dass sowohl CMGI als auch ICG mit Hochdruck daran arbeiten, ihre Überlebensfähigkeit zu verbessern. Empfehlen können wir die Aktien trotzdem nicht. Beide Unternehmen benötigen einen funktionieren IPO-Markt für ihre Geschäfte, ansonsten droht ihnen das Geld auszugehen. Nur hat an Neuemissionen derzeit einfach niemand Interesse.

Allerdings steigen und fallen sie nicht TÄGLICH so wie der Markt es tut. Tendenziell steigen und fallen sie ZEITWEISE stärker als der Markt.

Ich will ja auch gar nicht meckern. Zweimal hintereinander habe ich bekommen, was ich wollte. Diesmal war ich aber fest davon überzeugt, dass es klappt.
Kann sein, vielleicht klappt es ja noch, wenn derjenige, der immer wieder 100 Stück kauft, mal ein paar tausend ordert.

schaut euch mal das gestiegene volumen der letzten 4 wochen an. kaum anzunehmen, dass das alles privatanleger waren. außerdem ist der internetsektor der outperformer dieses jahres. schaut euch z.B. den cahrt von amazon an. heimlich still und leise haben die anleger bemerkt, dass eine i-unternehmen hervorragende geschäftskonzepte haben, überleben werden und ein deutlich höheres wachstum generieren, als andere branchen.

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- CMGI Inc. (CMGI) is seeking shareholder approval for a reverse stock split of between 1-for-2 and 1-for-25, according to a proxy statement filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If approved, the board will have the right to impose a reverse stock split at any point before the next annual shareholders meeting.
CMGI said it may do the reverse split to raise its share price so it can maintain its listing on the Nasdaq Small Cap Market. The company's stock was moved from the Nasdaq National Market to the Small Cap Market on Nov. 1, as it hadn't met the $1-a-share minimum bid price requirement for continued listing since before July.
The company said the Small Cap Market also has a $1 minimum bid price requirement and it's likely it will have a 180-day grace period, through June 30, 2003, to meet that minimum.
Shareholders can vote on the proposal at the company's annual meeting scheduled for Jan. 14 in Andover, Mass.

beim aktuellen kursniveau ist 60% der MK durch cash abgedeckt. schau Dir mal die kursentwicklung der cmgi-beteiligungen an, dann wird deutlich, dass dieser kursanstieg auch fundamental unterlegt ist. die schlechte stimmung gegenüber cmgi sollte aber weiter so bleiben wie sie ist - die beste voraussetzung für weiter steigende notierungen. ich denke weitere 50% sind drin.

mit etwas schwächeren aber immer noch starken Schwankungen, dann zunächst bis 1,25$ - also etwa wie bisher - meine Meinung
Habe mir nur eine kleine Zock-Position von 400 Stück zu 0,61€ zugelegt und werde diesmal nicht wie bei ARBA den Fehler machen, die Hälfte irgendwann rauszuschmeißen um Gewinne zu sichern.

CMGI Announces First Quarter Fiscal 2003 Financial Results
ANDOVER, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 12, 2002--CMGI, Inc. (Nasdaq: CMGI) today reported financial results for the fiscal quarter ended October 31, 2002.
CMGI's results of operations and cash balances discussed herein exclude the results of operations and cash balances of CMGI's former majority-owned subsidiaries, Engage, Inc. ("Engage"), and NaviSite, Inc. ("NaviSite"). On September 9, 2002, CMGI divested all of its equity and debt ownership interests in Engage. On September 11, 2002, CMGI sold all of its equity and debt ownership interests in NaviSite to ClearBlue Technologies, Inc. As a result of these transactions, the historical results of operations of Engage and NaviSite have been accounted for as discontinued operations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and are not included in CMGI's results of continuing operations or cash balances discussed herein. Additionally, on August 1, 2002, CMGI adopted SFAS No. 142, "Goodwill and Other Intangible Assets" and ceased amortizing goodwill.

First Quarter
CMGI reported net revenue of $191 million for the first fiscal quarter ended October 31, 2002. This compares to net revenue of $142 million for the quarter ended July 31, 2002, an increase of 35%. This increase primarily reflects the full quarter impact of SL Supply Chain Services International Corp., which acquired substantially all of the worldwide assets and operations of iLogistix during the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2002. This increase was partially offset by revenue declines within CMGI's other eBusiness and Fulfillment operations.
CMGI reported a total operating loss of $49 million for the quarter ended October 31, 2002, compared to a total operating loss of $140 million for the quarter ended July 31, 2002, representing a 65% decrease in operating loss quarter over quarter. Included in the first quarter loss were charges related to amortization of intangible assets and stock-based compensation ("amortization charges") and depreciation totaling $13 million, long-lived asset impairment charges of $0.2 million, and net restructuring charges of $2 million. Fourth quarter fiscal 2002 total operating loss included charges related to amortization and depreciation totaling $64 million, long lived asset impairment charges of $25 million and net restructuring charges of $7 million.
Excluding the effects of charges related to in-process research and development, depreciation, amortization, long-lived asset impairment and restructuring, CMGI reported a pro forma operating loss(1) of $34 million or ($0.09) pro forma operating loss(1) per share for the quarter ended October 31, 2002 versus a pro forma operating loss(1) of $43 million or ($0.11) pro forma operating loss(1) per share in the previous quarter ended July 31, 2002, representing a 21% decrease.
CMGI reported a net loss of $94 million or ($0.24) loss per share for the first quarter of fiscal 2003, compared to a net loss of $190 million or ($0.48) loss per share for the fourth quarter ended July 31, 2002.
As of October 31, 2002, CMGI had a consolidated cash and cash equivalents balance of $193 million. Total cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities balance (excluding equity securities) was $203 million. Total cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities (excluding equity securities) usage in the first quarter was $36 million, versus $41 million for the previous quarter.

Outlook
Consolidated net revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2003 is expected to be approximately $150 million to $155 million. The major reason for the decline in revenue projection for the second quarter is the company's continued focus on reducing under performing categories and products from uBid's offerings. This strategy has significantly improved uBid profit margins.
Pro forma operating loss(1) for the second quarter of fiscal 2003 is expected to be approximately $10 million to $15 million. The company continues to expect to reach break even on a consolidated pro forma operating basis(1) in the third quarter of fiscal 2003.
Both of CMGI's pro forma operating results(1) guidance estimates depend on the timing of actual divestitures of certain non-core assets and/or the costs related to shutdown of certain subsidiaries for which a buyer cannot be found.
Consolidated cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities balance (excluding equity securities) exiting the second quarter of fiscal 2003 is expected to be approximately $169 million. The usage of cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities in the second quarter of fiscal year 2003 is expected to be $34 million, of which it is estimated that approximately $10 million would relate to cash in companies being considered for divestiture in the second quarter.

This increase primarily reflects the full quarter impact of SL Supply Chain Services International Corp., which acquired substantially all of the worldwide assets and operations of iLogistix during the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2002. This increase was partially offset by revenue declines within CMGI's other eBusiness and Fulfillment operations.
CMGI reported a total operating loss of $49 million for the quarter ended October 31, 2002, compared to a total operating loss of $140 million for the quarter ended July 31, 2002, representing a 65% decrease in operating loss quarter over quarter. Included in the first quarter loss were charges related to amortization of intangible assets and stock-based compensation ("amortization charges") and depreciation totaling $13 million, long-lived asset impairment charges of $0.2 million, and net restructuring charges of $2 million. Fourth quarter fiscal 2002 total operating loss included charges related to amortization and depreciation totaling $64 million, long lived asset impairment charges of $25 million and net restructuring charges of $7 million.
Excluding the effects of charges related to in-process research and development, depreciation, amortization, long-lived asset impairment and restructuring, CMGI reported a pro forma operating loss(1) of $34 million or ($0.09) pro forma operating loss(1) per share for the quarter ended October 31, 2002 versus a pro forma operating loss(1) of $43 million or ($0.11) pro forma operating loss(1) per share in the previous quarter ended July 31, 2002, representing a 21% decrease.
CMGI reported a net loss of $94 million or ($0.24) loss per share for the first quarter of fiscal 2003, compared to a net loss of $190 million or ($0.48) loss per share for the fourth quarter ended July 31, 2002.
As of October 31, 2002, CMGI had a consolidated cash and cash equivalents balance of $193 million. Total cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities balance (excluding equity securities) was $203 million. Total cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities (excluding equity securities) usage in the first quarter was $36 million, versus $41 million for the previous quarter.

Outlook
Consolidated net revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2003 is expected to be approximately $150 million to $155 million. The major reason for the decline in revenue projection for the second quarter is the company's continued focus on reducing under performing categories and products from uBid's offerings. This strategy has significantly improved uBid profit margins.
Pro forma operating loss(1) for the second quarter of fiscal 2003 is expected to be approximately $10 million to $15 million. The company continues to expect to reach break even on a consolidated pro forma operating basis(1) in the third quarter of fiscal 2003.
Both of CMGI's pro forma operating results(1) guidance estimates depend on the timing of actual divestitures of certain non-core assets and/or the costs related to shutdown of certain subsidiaries for which a buyer cannot be found.
Consolidated cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities balance (excluding equity securities) exiting the second quarter of fiscal 2003 is expected to be approximately $169 million. The usage of cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities in the second quarter of fiscal year 2003 is expected to be $34 million, of which it is estimated that approximately $10 million would relate to cash in companies being considered for divestiture in the second quarter.

Der Umsatz im eCommerce und Abwicklungs Technologie Bereich wuchs auf einen Anteil von 76% am Gesamtumsatz und legte gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 22% zu.
CMGI ist ähnlich wie die japanische Softbank ein sogenannter Inkubator, der sich während der Boomzeit des Internet an Webaktien beteiligte und diese betreibt. Zu den Beteiligungen zählen u.a. uBid und Altavista. Ziel war es in den späten 90ern, die einzelnen Beteiligungen zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt an die Börse zu begleiten, doch musste dieser Plan nach Platzen der Spekulationsblase erst einmal auf Eis gelegt werden.
Die Aktie stieg nachbörslich um 5.74% und verteurerte sich somit am Donnerstag insgesamt um 10.26% auf $1.29.

Da halte ich mich ungern auf !
Ich bevorzuge den "Bummelzug". Ob die Züge dadurch voller geworden sind, weil ich jetzt mit Ticket 1000 fahre und nicht mehr auffem Ruhrschleichweg bei Wattenscheid-West, bei Essen-Frillendorf oder Mülheim-Styrum sinnlos rumsteh, weiss ich nicht.
Ich weiss aber, dass viele mit ihrem Handy ihre bessere Hälfte anrufen, was von Verspätungen erzählen und sich dann einen picheln.
