Hallo!
ich habe mal folgende Frage an Alstom Investor Relations geschickt. Mal schauen, was ich als Antwort erhalten werde. So wie geschildert, verstehe ich die Situation:
"...I still own a small amount (100) of Alstom shares. I have a question to the so-called return of cash to the shareholders. Alstom claims to return 3.2 Mrd Euro to the shareholders by buying back 91.5 Mio shares for 35. However, the current share price is around 29. So in my opinion, Alstom returns only (35-29)*91.5 Mio = 549Mio. That is much less than the claimed 3.2 Mrd. Moreover, there is the possibility that I can only sell 91.5/310 = 29.5% of my shares to Alstom. Thus, I get the 35 only for 29.5% of my shares. That means, the return to shareholders is in worst case and based on my 100 shares only 174 which is only 6% dividend yield based on a share price of 29. If I divide the total sum of 3.2Mrd by 310Mio shares, I would have expected 10.32/share.
Can you please clarify, confirm, correct my view?
Thanks for a reply, "
