Vocalscape to Provide Calling Card Solution to NTeL
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Apr 26, 2007 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Vocalscape
Networks, Inc. (OTCBB: VOSC) (Vocalscape), a provider of Voice over IP (VoIP),
today announced that they have signed a contract with NTeL, a calling card
retailer, to provide them with a new calling card solution.
The Vocalscape calling card solution will bring a number of benefits and
enhancements to NTeL in a phased approach. Initial improvements will allow NTeL
to better understand how customers use their system by providing detailed
records and reports.
Phase two will allow NTeL's customers to recharge their calling cards online so
they won't have to visit a retail outlet in order to purchase more minutes.
Additionally, NTeL will have even more control over their system through a
management interface that allows them to have and control multiple rates and
packages as well as Least Cost Routing.
"NTeL is doing a great job of targeting specific segments of the U.S. market
with their prepaid calling cards," commented Ron McIntyre, President of
Vocalscape. "The decision to improve their product by investing in a more robust
calling card platform will give them both more control and more flexibility by
allowing them to manage their platform using Vocalscape's web-based management
interface. Additionally, they will benefit from Least Cost Routing which is an
automated system that selects the lowest cost route for a given call from
multiple termination providers."
"We are looking forward to working with Vocalscape," said Hung Tran, President
of NTeL. "While our existing system has been serving us and our customers well
we recognize that it is time to improve our underlying platform so that we can
start offering our customers and resellers more advanced services."
