Saturday, 30 Jan 2010 Crompton Greaves has announced a phenomenal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2009. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 59.76% to INR 1,354.30 million from INR 847.70 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter for the quarter rose 13.34% to INR 12,237.60 million, while total income for the quarter rose 14.03% to INR 12,404.70 million when compared with the prior year period. It reported earnings of INR 3.70 a share during the quarter, registering 60.17% growth over previous year period.

Total Income (net of excise) has increased by 23% to Rs 527.51 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 from Rs 428.82 crore in Q1-05.

http://www.cglonline.com/cg/avs/home/corp/news/current/ Weiterer Großauftrag für Crompton Greaves Large Export Order from Malaysia for CGL Transfomers The Financial Year 2005-06 started on a good note for Transformer Division with the bagging of a large export order worth US$ 17 Million (Rs. 75 Crores) from Malaysian Transformer Manufacturing Company (MTM), Malaysia. The large order comprises 26 units of Transformers ranging from 30MVA to 240MVA to be delivered by December 2005. Over the last 3 years, Crompton Greaves has built a strong business relationship with MTM by offering technical assistance and by helping the company in its refurbishment activity of Crompton Transformers at its factory. Last year, MTM had placed an order worth US$ 3.7 Million (Rs.16 Crores) for the supply of 90MVA and 240MVA Transformers. Thus, the receipt of the above order was the second of its kind from MTM in a short span of 6 months. Malaysian Power Utility i.e. TNB (Tenaga Nasional Berhad) appointed their subsidiary company MTM to procure Transformers, to meet its emergency requirement, from 11 pre-qualified Transformer manufacturers worldwide, including Crompton Greaves in India. The first round of negotiations was completed in Malaysia on 25th February 2005 and Crompton Greaves emerged among the 5 short-listed companies by MTM, who complied technically with the entire Tender requirements. Our erstwhile association with MTM was perhaps instrumental in helping us bag this large order and further strengthening the bonds between them and us.
