Paris La Défense, Tuesday 27 October 2026, 5.35 p.m. (CET) – At its meeting held today, the Board of Directors of Assystem S.A. (ISIN: FR0000074148 - ASY), an international engineering group, reviewed the Group’s financial statements for the six months ended 30 June 2026 and its revenue for the nine months ended 30 September 2026.
The Statutory Auditors have carried out their limited review procedures on the consolidated financial statements for the first half of 2026, issuing unqualified limited review reports. The Interim Financial Report will be available as from 28 October on assystem.com.
Dominique Louis, Assystem's Chairman & CEO, stated: “Our results clearly illustrate the strength of Assystem’s business model and how we've got our strategic positioning right in the nuclear markets. Despite the geopolitical context, we recorded organic revenue growth for the first nine months of 2026, led by strong business momentum in France and the ongoing development of new nuclear energy and defence programmes in the United Kingdom. The increase in our operating profitability for the first half of the year reflects the quality of our contract performance and our teams’ dedicated customer engagement. We are pursuing our growth with confidence both in France and internationally, focused on supporting nations and industries over the long term to help them achieve their goals of energy sovereignty and decarbonisation.”
KEY FIGURES
REVENUE FOR THE NINE MONTHS ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2026
In the first nine months of 2026, Assystem's consolidated revenue came to €492.1 million, versus €484.2 million in the same period of 2025. This represents total growth of 1.7%, breaking down as 2.8% organic growth and a 1.1% negative currency effect, which was an improvement on the H1 adverse currency impact. This nine-month performance reflects the following:
In the first nine months of 2026, Nuclear activities posted solid organic revenue growth of 7.7%, driven in particular by France and the United Kingdom, and accounted for 81% of total consolidated revenue for the period.
Revenue in France (61% of total consolidated revenue for the nine-month period) amounted to €297.6 million, up 4.5% year on year, with this growth entirely organic (+4.2% in H1 2026). Growth momentum for Nuclear activities is accelerating both for reactor new-builds and fuel cycle projects, driven by the EPR2 and “Aval du future” programmes.
Revenue from International operations (39% of the consolidated total for the nine-month period) came to €194.6 million, down 2.4% year on year (versus a 4.5% year-on-year decrease in H1 2026). The negative currency effect eased to 2.8% for the first nine months of 2026 (from a negative 4.5% in the first half). The organic growth figure, which moved into positive territory at 0.4%, reflects mixed trends across the segment’s various countries and activities. Growth momentum remained robust in the United Kingdom, despite a high basis of comparison, led mainly by the ramp-up of contracts recently won in the civil nuclear and defence sectors. Conversely, business remained subdued in the MECA region – mostly due to the fact that the Akkuyu nuclear contract in Türkiye and siting studies in Saudi Arabia reached their end – and in India non-nuclear activities continued to decline. Operations in these two regions are particularly vulnerable to the economic impacts of the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.
ANALYSIS OF THE FIRST-HALF 2026 INCOME STATEMENT
Consolidated EBIT-A totalled €21.1 million in the first half of 2026, up 3.4% on the €20.4 million recorded for the same period of 2025, and EBIT-A margin widened to 6.4% from 6.2%.
EBIT-A in France was €14.0 million, representing 7.0% of revenue (vs €11.4 million and 5.9% respectively in H1 2025). This performance was due to (i) a higher activity ratio, (ii) greater operating leverage over fixed costs, and (iii) the good performance of equity-accounted investees involved in the ITER project.
International EBIT-A came to €9.2 million, i.e. 7.2% of revenue (vs €11.6 million and 8.7% respectively in H1 2025). The year-on-year decline reflects the costs of expanding the Group's business in Canada, as well as unfavourable operating leverage in Saudi Arabia, and an adverse timing effect related to contract phasing.
The Group's central expenses ("Holding company" expenses) had a €2.1 million negative impact on consolidated EBIT-A in H1 2026, versus a €2.6 million negative impact in the first six months of 2025.
Consolidated operating profit for the first half of 2026 came to €17.6 million (vs a €0.9 million consolidated operating loss in H1 2025) and includes:
The Group ended the first half of 2026 with a consolidated loss of €6.6 million versus consolidated profit of €4.3 million in H1 2025, after taking into account:
Revenue generated by Expleo Group totalled €644.9 million in the first half of 2026, down 1.2% from €652.5 million in H1 2025, with Q2 2026 seeing renewed growth momentum.
Expleo Group's EBITDA (including the impact of IFRS 16) was €53.1 million, up 10.3% on the €48.1 million recorded for H1 2025. EBITDA margin for H1 2026 represented 8.2% of consolidated revenue (vs 7.4% in H1 2025 and 13.2% in H2 2025).
During the first half of 2026, Expleo Group continued to implement its resources adaptation plan. At the same time, its non-recurring expenses were on a par with H1 2025 and its financial expenses decreased year on year.
Expleo Group recorded a €24.8 million attributable consolidated loss for the period, before recognition of the capitalised interest on its quasi-equity instruments, compared with a €45.6 million loss in H1 2025.
Expleo Group’s net debt(4) amounted to €669 million at 30 June 2026 versus €592 million at 31 December 2025, with the increase due to seasonal factors.
Expleo Group completed the asset sales required to satisfy the condition precedent for the application of its Amend and Extend agreement, negotiated in spring 2026, which extends the maturity of its senior credit facilities. In accordance with the Amend and Extend agreement, the maturity dates of Expleo Group’s renewable credit facility (RCF) and Term Loan have been extended to 30 September 2029 and 28 March 2030 respectively. As a result, the maturity date of its convertible bonds (Tranche 1 and Tranche 2) has been extended to 31 March 2031.
PAYMENT OF THE 2025 DIVIDEND
At the Annual General Meeting held on 22 May 2026, Assystem’s shareholders approved the payment of a €1.0 dividend per share for 2025, representing a total payout of approximately €14.8 million(5). The ex-dividend date was Tuesday 7 July 2026, and the dividend was paid on Thursday 9 July.
FREE CASH FLOW(6) AND NET DEBT AT 30 JUNE 2026
Taking into account the seasonal pattern of the Group's working capital requirement, free cash flow for the first half of 2026 (excluding the impact of IFRS 16) corresponded to a negative €19.1 million, compared with a negative €14.7 million in first-half 2025.
The Group's net debt (excluding the IFRS 16 impact) totalled €81.3 million at 30 June 2026 (vs €86.2 million at 30 June 2025 and €59.7 million at 31 December 2025). The €21.6 million increase in the first six months of 2026 reflects the following:
FULL-YEAR 2026 TARGETS REFINED
Based on the trends observed to date and those forecast for the rest of the year regarding the performance of projects in progress, the Group has updated the targets for full-year 2026 that it set at the beginning of the year. The updated targets are as follows:
The achievement of these targets is subject to there being no significant deterioration in the macro-economic, political or geopolitical environment.
