Valor Computerized Systems, a global leader in providing
productivity software solutions, which in May floated on the Neuer
Markt of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, reported a 16.9% increase in
revenues for the year 2000 from US$ 25.1M to US$ 29.3M. Its net
profit rose from US$ 3.5M to US$ 3.9M, an increase of 13%.
Due to a weaker than expected software engineering market and
restructuring activities in Japan, revenues fell short of analysts'
expectations for Q4 2000. In addition, the company made substantial
investments in its product lines in Q4 2000. Nonetheless, a net
profit increase of 13% was achieved.
