I just spoke with ronran. We discussed a variety of issues related to this case. The purpose of the discussion was to ensure that we have someone at the pre-trial conference.

 by saying that Ron and I are in agreement that WE BELIEVE this case has been settled or will be settled. We also agree that the settlement will probably be announced before we celebrate the savior's birth but that is not certain. We could find out on the court house steps that a settlement has been reached. Or,or we could all be totally out to lunch and J3 have no intention of parting with a huge settlement without a trial. The point is - no one knows. All the wild-eyed speculation that takes place on this and other forums can get really crazy at times. Having fun picking an announcement date is not the same as speculating about settlements in the several hundreds of millions of dollars and share price of $20 or higher. We all need to step back, take a deep breath and perhaps prepare ourselves for lower settlement figures than many on this and other forums have projected.

     My circumstances prohibit me from attending the PTC, but Ron has graciously agreed to be our eyes and ears if the hearing is open to the public. As a layman I do not have Ron's legalistic insights into the workings of a court. Even though we were both told in separate telephone calls that the conference will be open to the public, Ron feels there is a chance that, due to the sensitive nature of some of the things to be discussed and decided, the hearing may be closed to the public. Closure could be decided immediately before the hearing is scheduled to convene. Since he is relatively close to the proceedings he will be prepared to attend and report back to all the results of the conference. Watch for his report if we don't see a settlement announcement between now and 1430 Tuesday. I will be on the road taking my dad back to Oklahoma so I will simply wish us all well.
