Back in November, 2008, Osiris announced a $1.38 billion dollar collaboration agreement with Genzyme and the Osiris share price promptly went to over $20 per share. Here is a website announcing that collaboration.

Osiris had collected $130 million dollars on this contract when Genzyme was unexpectedly bought by Sanofi. Shortly thereafter, Osiris evoked their "non-performance" language of that contract after Sanofi announced they had "discontinued" GvHD Prochymal. Osiris then notified Sanofi that they were taking back all rights to Prochymal and Osiris is now free to collaborate with someone else.

On May 18, 2012 Canada notified Osiris that it had approved Prochymal for GvHD for children and Osiris said marketing would begin later this year... [Presumably very soon]. Osiris estimated the Canadian market at around $16.5 million and said they are in the process of filing for approval in 8 other countries.

So now, Osiris is presumably ready to accept bids from a new potential Prochymal partner. When they settle on the partner that suits them best, I'd expect a better cash deal than the one they got from Genzyme. The uncertainty of future Prochymal approvals has been greatly diminished with the Canadian approval and that makes this product more valuable.

The news of a new partnership should put Osiris back over the $20 mark very quickly. This was all accomplished by the Osiris Therapeutics division.

Osiris has another division called Biosurgery. This division has developed two relatively new products called Grafix and Ovation. Grafix and Ovation are regulated by the FDA under 21 CFR Part 1271 Human Cells, Tissues and Cellular and Tissue-based Products (HCT/Ps).

These two products are in the marketplace and are being sold to doctors right now. Although Sales have just recently begun, Sales are ramping up quickly, up 49% over the previous quarter.

z.Zt. ist New Venturetec mit 105.13 % im Plus bei 8.00 CHF, da war auch in ZH bei Börsenöffnung i.d. USA kein Halten mehr, der Kurs ging ab wie eine Rakete, man kam nicht mehr hinterher;

Ich habe mich vorher aber schon genügend eingedeckt,

jahrelang war N.V. bei mir jedoch eine sogenannte Depotleiche, jedoch hat es sich gelohnt, an die Zukunft von Orisis Th. fest zu glauben. Schön dass es jetzt endlich grünt.
Die weitere Zukunft  sehe ich auch positiv, ein Kursziel zw. 90-100 $ von Osiris Th. für bis 20015/17 ist gut möglich. Es kommt ganz darauf an, wie schnell die sehr guten Ergebnisse weltweit jetzt vermarktet werden können. Das ist ein Milliardenmarkt.
Im Moment in USA bei 23.75 $, + 123 %.

The firm currently has an underperform rating on the stock. Osiris Therapeutics (NASDAQ:OSIR) traded up 1.22% during mid-day trading on Wednesday, hitting $20.00. The stock had a trading volume of 1,153,979 shares. Osiris Therapeutics has a 52 week low of $6.55 and a 52 week high of $27.40. The stock has a 50-day moving average of $11.98 and a 200-day moving average of $11.03. The company"s market cap is $659.8 million.
