Starbucks, Nike, Yahoo Tell Congress To Renew Key Wind Power Tax Credit
At any moment Congress will decide whether to extend the production tax credit (PTC), which gives wind power producers a 2.2 cent tax credit for every kilowatt hour of power they produce.
Among those urging extension are some of America’s biggest brands and largest purchasers of wind and other renewably sourced energy. This week, 15 of them, including Starbucks, Staples, Nike, Levi Strauss & Co., Campbell Soup Co. and Yahoo!, wrote to Congressional leaders urging extension of the PTC. Some of these companies already get more than half their energy from renewables; Starbucks’ goal is to source 100% of its energy from renewables in two years.
    “The PTC has enabled the wind industry to slash wind energy costs – 90 percent since 1980 – a big reason why companies like ours are buying increasing amounts of wind energy,” the letter states.

Hopes that a near-term extension of the production tax credit (PTC) for wind power would be included in legislation to extend the payroll tax cuts through the remainder of this year are nearly extinguished, as NAW has learned that congressional leaders have reached a tentative framework agreement on the payroll tax cut - but it does not contain a PTC extension.

Now that a near-term strategy is severely weakened, the wind industry  must look to other ways that a PTC extension could be passed this year,  such as in a lame-duck Congress following the November general election.

Peter Kelley, AWEA's vice president of public affairs, said the situation is still developing.

"There are a number of options, and nothing is final yet," he told NAW, noting that a bipartisan group in Congress is continuing to provide leadership in extending the PTC for wind energy.

Several  options are under discussion, Kelley said, and both Democrat and  Republican congressional leaders are working on legislation.

However,  "It's too soon to say what they'll come up with,” he added. “They're  looking at every opportunity to get this done in the first quarter,  because they realize the urgency of keeping the tens of thousands of  U.S. manufacturing jobs that are on the line.”

Steve Lockard: We do have bipartisan growing support. There is a bill that's been introduced in the House with bipartisan support, 16 Republican sponsors, along with a total of 60 supporters of that bill. And the messages we're getting and receiving from Republican members as well, especially those that have been educated a bit about wind, they have wind in their district, wind manufacturing facilities in their state, is they come to understand the job creation and the economic -- positive economic impact in the U.S., they're becoming supporters.

Beltway Blog — Bennet pushes to save wind energy tax credit with Kansas Republican

WASHINGTON — Sen. Michael Bennet has filed an amendment with a Kansas  Republican to extend the wind energy tax credit for one year.

The amendment is attached to a transportation funding bill and would  extend the wind-energy-production tax credit for one year. It would be  paid for by delaying the implementation of a corporate accounting  technicality, which Congress has delayed three other times with  bipartisan support. Sen. Mark Udall is a co-sponsor of this amendment.

“Colorado stands to suffer a huge economic blow if Congress can’t get  its act together and extend this critical tax credit,” Bennet said in a  statement to The Denver Post Wednesday. “This tax credit has bipartisan  support, and Colorado companies are counting on us to get it across the  finish line. It’s time to act.”

The House will be voting on parts of the transportation bill tomorrow and the Senate is likely to take it up after next week’s recess at the  end of February, though Bennet’s amendment has not been accepted yet and  is not guaranteed a vote.

ich kann mich noch gut daran erinnern, wie user hier verhöhnt wurden, weil sie positive Beiträge zu Nordex mehrfach in unterschiedlichen Threads eingestellt haben, weil sie ob der spammerei sonst untergingen...
aber, dass sich ein Aktionär genötigt sieht, solche bereits mehrfach geposteten Analystenmeinungen in allen Threads zu wiederholen... dies muss ja ein wahrlich "barmherziger Samariter" sein, der die anderen user davor warnt, den gleichen Fehler zu begehen wie er, und in Nordex zu investieren...verhindert ja auch nur sein fast täglich erwähnter"Finanzminister" dass er nicht sofort vekauft...)
p.s.: bei mir kommt dies ja leider zu spät, ich bin investiert und gedenke es noch ein Weilchen zu bleiben...wobei mit ähnlich überzeugendem hatten in der Vergangenheit auch schon andere versucht mich zu überzeugen...bin wohl ein hoffnungsloser Fall...)

z.B. einen china-kontrakt,.... wobei ich daran aktuell eher nicht glaube!,... weil es meines erachtens eine reine schein gequatsche ist!,... dafür sind die schon seit 1 jahr dran,... ich glaube das wird nix!,...  be siemens wurde einfach nur gemeldet,.. das halte ich für professionell,....
