Nextel International Chooses LHS' ORYX Platform for Prepaid Wireless Services
Carrier to Deploy Group Calling Services in Latin America
ATLANTA/BOSTON/FRANKFURT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 22, 1999-- LHS Group Inc. (NASDAQ: LHSG - news; Neuer Markt: LHI) today announced that Nextel International Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nextel Communications Inc., has selected LHS Priority Call's ORYX® platform to deliver calling services to business subscribers in Latin America. Nextel will deploy closed group calling and prepaid services in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and Peru. Nextel International is expanding its relationship with LHS with the purchase of the ORYX platform. Currently Nextel International uses LHS' BSCS for its customer care and billing services.
