Neometals Ltd expands lithium offtake arrangement ahead of production

Neometals Ltd (ASX:NMT) has increased its offtake arrangements at the Mt Marion Lithium Project near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

Neometals is a near-term lithium oxide mineral producer through its 26.9% interest in the Mt Marion project.

Initial offtake partner Ganfeng has agreed to further expand the scope of the offtake arrangements for lithium spodumene concentrate grading 4-6% Li2O from 80,000 tonnes per annum to 200,000 tonnes per annum of spodumene concentrate.

This is in addition to the existing Offtake Agreement for 200,000 tonnes per annum of +6% Li2O.

The expanded offtake arrangement is conditional to the completion of a detailed metallurgical test program, which is currently in process.

The project is on schedule to achieve first production during 2016.

MIN did not pay US 19m for NMTs 13.8% share of Mt Marion. NMT still have their free carried 13.8% share in Mt Marion. MIN paid NMT US 19.65m for an extra 13.1% to up their share in Mt Marion to 43.1%. MIN has had this option since day 1 when they received 30% share of Mt Marion to supply, build, and operate the plant at Mt Marion. The option to buy an extra 13.1% of Mt Marion for US$19.65m came with conditions and time frame to build the plant which MIN has met all requirements so was able to exercise the option to buy more %.
Also no spodumene has been sold to Ganfeng yet. Ganfeng has 100% offtake life of mine for spodumene produced at Mt Marion but NMT negotiated to take 51% of spodumene produced at Mt Marion after year 3 if they could use it else ware. This will be used to feed their patented lithium hydroxide plant. So even though NMT only have 13.8% of Mt Marion, they will take 51% of production from year 3. This is what makes their whole deal with Mt Marion so good.

Hauptaugenmerk liegt auf dem Eli-Prozess.
Die 13,8% beziehen sich auf die 23,24 Mt Li2O, die gefördert werden sollen. Unter aller Voraussicht wird sich der Wert von 23,24 Mt mit der anstehenden Ressourcenschätzung aber noch erhöhen, sodass sich auch der daraus resultierende Cashflow erhöht.

Neometals is planning to capitalize on growth in the energy storage market by producing high purity lithium hydroxide via the company’s proprietary ELi process from ore sourced from the company’s jointly owned Mt Marion lithium deposit. The Mt Marion lithium project is located approximately 40km southwest of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia and is jointly owned by Neometals Ltd (13.8%), Mineral Resources Ltd (43.1%) and one of China’s largest lithium producers Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Co., Ltd (43.1%).

Es wird nicht mehr lange dauern, wenn man den Ankündigungen des Vorstands Glauben schenken kann. Bisher konnte man das sehr gut.
Neo Metals bleibt eine hochinteressante Aktie. Ich verweise mal nur auf den Cashbestand. Wieviele solcher Unternehmen hat knapp 80 Mio in der Kasse?

Mineral Resources Limited (ASX: MIN) ( "MRL"), Neometals Ltd (ASX: NMT) ( "Neometals") und Ganfeng Lithium Co., Ltd (SZSE: 002.460) sind erfreut , eine neue Mineralressourcenschätzung für das zu schaffen Mt Marion Lithium - Projekt ( 'Mt Marion') , vorbereitet von Snowden Mining Industry Consultants ( "Snowden").

Die Ergebnisse der Studie wurden die Mineralressourcenschätzung auf angezeigte und abgeleitete erhöht Mineralressourcen von 60.5Mt bei 1,36% Li 2 O und 1,09% Fe bei einem Cutoff-Gehalt von 0,3% Li 2 O (Tabelle 1 und Anhang A) Li bei 1,39% bis 23.24Mt verglichen 2 O, bei einem Cutoff-Gehalt von 0% Li 2 O zuvor. Dies stellt eine wesentliche Steigerung der Größe der Mineralressourcen, was einem 160% Anstieg der Gesamt enthaltenen Lithium am Project. Die 0,3% Cutoff-Gehalt spiegelt die Strategie des Bergbaus auf die Lithium-tragenden Pegmatit Kontakte.

Sieht leider schlecht aus. Recht hohe Kosten in der jüngsten Veröffentlichung ausgewiesen und der geplante Bau in Malaysia lässt viele verkaufen.

zu mehreren radikalen Behauptungen genutzt. Hmm?

Ich würde mal nachlesen, mit welchem Li-Preis kalkuliert wurde.
Aber es ist nicht von der hand zu weisen, dass das gewinnungsverfahren teurer wird als ursprünglich angenommen.
Bei einem sehr konservativ angenommenen Li-Preis von 11 000 $/T eine Gewinnmarge von 55 %.

Aber, es könnten evtl. Verfahren entwickelt werden, die kostengünstiger produzieren lassen. Das muss man abwarten.
