Motorola Selects i2 Supply Chain Management Solutions to Standardize Global Supply Chain Process

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2002--i2 Technologies, Inc., (Nasdaq:ITWO - News), a leading provider of value chain management solutions, and Motorola, Inc., (NYSE:MOT - News) today announced a strategic agreement to streamline and standardize Motorola's global supply chain activities.
Under the agreement, i2 will be Motorola's supply chain vendor for one of its next generation supply chain projects. The project will leverage i2 solutions designed to enhance global visibility and improve forecast accuracy to reduce planning cycle time. By gaining enhanced visibility into its global supply and demand, Motorola can better allocate supply and ultimately reduce its finished goods inventory to improve the bottom line. i2 Supply Chain Planner, Demand Fulfillment, Factory Planner and Demand Planner are designed to give companies insight into their increasingly complex supply chains.
