Lynas Hand in Hand mit Arafura Rare Earth Seltene

heftig wie Lynas heute abstürzt, gibts irgendwelche Informationen oder liegt es an dem schlechten Marktumfeld?

1. Das Projekt ist bis 2010 voll finanziert
2. Erz mit einem Gehalt von 18 % REO (dem höchsten weltweit) wird ab Ende diesen Monats    
  abgebaut und auf Zwischenlager genommen
3. Noch diesen Monat wird für die Verarbeitungsanlage der EIA (Umweltantrag) vorgelegt
  und im Februar soll Baubeginn sein.
4. Umsatz beginnt in 2010 und cash flow wird in 2011 generiert
5. EBITDA wird prognostiziert mit 41,5MioA$ in 2010, 149Mio in 2011 und 237Mio in 2012
6. Basierend auf mit 10 % abgezinsten vorg. Zahlen rechnet man mit einem fairen Wert von
  1,49A$ (gegenwärtiger Kurs 1,05$)
Hauptprodukte werden sein:Neodymium und Praseodymium und zwar zu einem Zeitpunkt, wo mit einer Verknappung am Weltmarkt ( und damit steigenden Preisen) gerechnet wird.

Wird nach Fr SK von 0,63€ wohl heute in Fra mit einem knappen 20% Gap eröffnen ;-)

Das Thema wird also immer mehr in den Köpfen der Anleger verankert und als immer bedeutender angesehen. Soll uns Investierten ausgesprochen recht sein.

Mitte 2005 war Lynas noch 0,07 EUR wert. 2 Jahre später das Zehnfache. Ich glaube, auch charttechnisch, ist der Wert ausgereizt und geht die nächsten Monate lediglich "tunnel". Ist aus Eurer Sicht mehr als 1 EUR drin? Wenn ja, warum?

.. wie war das nochmal mit Arafura, die zig-mal besser als Lynas performen würde?

ist auch noch nicht so weit wie Lynas. Die brauchen noch ne Weile länger als Lynas, aber die Resourcen sind vorhanden. Arafura wird sich auch aufrapeln, aber solange wird in Lynas investiert :-)

Durch die Kreditkrise kommt jetzt ein neues Momentum hinzu. Lynas hat vor nicht allzu langer Zeit den Geldgeber wechseln müssen, hat es jedoch geschafft, weil alle Voraussetzungen für einen guten Geschäftsverlauf bereits vorlagen. Bei Arafura liegt ja noch keine feasibility study vor, sodaß man jetzt noch nicht mit Banken verhandeln kann. Finanzierungen werden jetzt aber immer schwieriger. Wie man aus der Presse entnehmen konnte, hat die NewYorker Hafenbehörde einen Zins von 12 % aktzeptieren müssen, obwohl es sich nicht um ein Privatrisiko handelt. Aktienkäufe dürften daher in Unternehmen, deren Finanzierung nicht gesichert ist, wohl eher erlahmen.

Lynas hat nunmehr die Finanzierung für den Produktionsstart von der Bayernhypo gesichert. Die ersten Vorabverträge mit Abnehmern sind ebenfalls unter Dach und Fach. Da kann man nur hoffen, daß beim Bau der Anlage alles glatt läuft.  

It’s not hard to see what’s going on. China’s consumption rate is growing faster than the rest of the worlds. With China as the Chief global supplier of rare earths, it means that increased Chinese consumption will make for fewer and fewer exports each year. Eventually, China may even have to import rare earths.

In the meantime, the export quotas serve a second purpose. By limiting exports of rare earth oxides (REOs) China effectively forces the hands of manufacturers who need REOs. You either move to China to produce, or you go without REOs.

We won’t go into full detail over the industries that rely on REOs for their products. But two big ones, based on current demand, are consumer/mobile electronics and the automotive industry. Japan alone imports some 40,000tpa of REOs. By restricting exports, China makes sure it captures more of the economic benefit that comes from value-added production. If you want to make goods that require rare earths, you may have to move you factory to China.

If you wanted a comparison, one might be Australia deciding it would reduce iron ore exports so that more Aussie ore could be used to produce steel right here in Australia, which would later be exported at a greater profit margin than the ore alone. The trouble is that the cost of shipping steel would destroy any economic reason for making steel in Australia to export it. So the Australian resource sector gets by exporting mostly raw resources with very little added value.

This may be changing with the rare earths. Specifically, Toyota’s decision to build its hybrid vehicles here may stem from Australia’s two big rare earth’s projects at Nolans Bore and Mt. Weld. The Prius consumes a lot of rare earths. Australia will have a lot ready for export—or domestic production—by 2011.

But even if Toyota sources its REOs to China (and can get them) the latest data from China show that the fundamental case for Lynas and Arafura is still very strong. Both are set to become major producers of REOs for non-Chinese customers in the next two years. With REO prices rising and an increased interest in REO-intensive plug-in-hybrid cars, the rare earth industry is looking good in a very bad stock market.

Lynas to supply over 50% of rare earth products for Japan

JMB reported that Australian rare metal producer, Lynas Corporation supplies rare earth products to Japanese market with 3 to 5 years contract by developing Mt Weld mine in Western Australia.

The firm already started construction of concentration plant in Australia and plant in Malaysia to process and refine concentrate from Australia.

Mr Nicholas Curtis executive chairman of Luncas Corporation said the firm starts the commercial production in July to September 2009 and the sales to Japanese customers would represent more than half of the total sales.
