und daher bin ich heute eingestiegen - und zwar mit einem sehr kleinen Betrag, denn das Risiko sehe ich als hoch an.

Mehr als 1% meines Depots sollen das auch zunächst nicht werden.

New Zealand Clears ASTS Gateway

13.07.26 22:19

The license, issued through New Zealand's Register of Radio Frequencies, allows Two Degrees Networks to operate a space-to-Earth gateway station connected to AST SpaceMobile's non-geostationary satellite system. The license takes effect on Monday and adds another piece of ground infrastructure to AST SpaceMobile's direct-to-smartphone broadband network.

The authorization permits a gateway, or feeder-link, earth station at a specified New Zealand site to receive signals from AST SpaceMobile satellites. It covers frequencies between 37.5 GHz and 39 GHz and limits communication to certain satellites. The conditions also require a minimum satellite elevation angle of 15 degrees and restrict operations to the approved gateway site and antenna array.

Bell completes satellite ground station build amid plan to launch space-based service

July 15, 2026 at 8:49AM EDT

Bell Canada says it has reached a key milestone toward launching satellite-to-mobile coverage with the completion of a ground station in Quebec.

Last fall, the telecommunications company announced plans to launch space-based cellular service through a partnership with AST SpaceMobile using low-earth orbit satellites.

Bell says testing has begun at the ground station facility, which connects with AST SpaceMobile’s satellite constellation to integrate its space-based cellular broadband network with Bell’s terrestrial network.

AST SpaceMobile shares dropped nearly 13% in after-hours trading on Wednesday after the company announced plans to raise $1 billion through a convertible senior notes offering due 2034, with an additional $150 million option for purchasers. The move reignited dilution concerns among shareholders, coming just months after a similar billion-dollar convertible note raise in February. The company plans to use proceeds for capped call transactions, growth initiatives, and securing additional launch capacity. The selloff occurred despite operational progress including the recent deployment of three Block 2 BlueBird satellites via a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, and Piper Sandler initiating coverage with an Overweight rating and a $100 price target implying 51% upside.

PIPER SANDLER INITIATES AST SPACEMOBILE AT OVERWEIGHT AND $100 PRICE TARGET AST SpaceMobile — Initiating at Overweight.

ASTS builds satellites that communicate directly with smartphones. The service ensures connectivity for users everywhere, regardless of cellular coverage, including for applications like video calls, streaming, and gaming. This is valuable functionality for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), who are eager to sell add-on services to globe-trotting consumers and users in remote areas. ASTS has partnered with (and accepted equity investments from) some of the largest MNOs, including AT&T, Vodafone, Rakuten, Verizon, etc. By partnering with (not competing against) MNOs, ASTS can immediately access 3B+ subscribers. The #1 risk: ASTS will compete against Starlink’s direct-to-cell offering. Our $100 price target is based on 20x 2031 EV/EBITDA, discounted at 15%.

But the result will be a big shortsquezze, because telecome operators will vote for ASTS and not for their enemies Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos.

Najarian Calls ASTS Deal A Bullish Bet

Najarian and his brother Pete Najarian broke down the financing and ASTS' selloff in a Market Rebellion video posted on X. The brothers co-founded Market Rebellion, an options-focused market analysis platform, in 2016.

AST SpaceMobile priced $1 billion of 1.625% convertible senior notes due in 2034, with an initial conversion price of $79.57 per share, which was about 20% above Wednesday's close. Jon Najarian said that the notes give buyers the right, but not the obligation, to convert into ASTS shares at that price. While the 1.625% coupon is relatively low, he said the real appeal lies in the potential equity upside.

Pete Najarian said that investors were focused on the risk that the notes could eventually convert into shares and dilute existing holders. "They're concerned about dilution and all the rest of it," he said, adding that the stock's negative reaction was "understandable." Still, he agreed the financing could support a valuable long-term opportunity. "I think this could be something into the future that could be pretty special, quite frankly," he said.

ASTS was in the spotlight this week

18.07.26 18:55
ASTS was in the spotlight this week primarily due to financing news and timeline updates. On July 15, the company announced and priced a $1 billion private offering of convertible senior notes due 2034, sparking dilution concerns despite capped calls. It also updated that full commercial service is now targeted for early 2027, delayed from late 2026, due to launch provider uncertainties, while BlueBird 11 arrived at Cape Canaveral ahead of the planned August launch for satellites 11-13.

Some retail investors were confident that the decline in ASTS stock was a buying opportunity.

What sets AST SpaceMobile apart from SpaceX?

22.07.26 22:34

AST and SpaceX's Starlink both produce LEO satellites for internet communications. However, AST mainly helps telecom giants like AT&T and Verizon extend their broadband networks to rural areas that their terrestrial networks can't reach. Starlink provides its own first-party satellite internet service. AST's satellites are also twice the size of Starlink's largest satellites, making them the largest communication arrays ever deployed into orbit.

AST also processes its data on the ground using Radio Access Network (RAN) software, while Starlink processes it in its satellites. AST can upgrade its ground infrastructure to new wireless technologies (such as 6G), but Starlink must completely replace its satellites with each upgrade.

AST also doesn't operate money-losing rocket launch and artificial intelligence (AI) businesses like SpaceX. While AST isn't profitable yet, it has a clear path to profitability because its core business operates similarly to Starlink, SpaceX's only profitable business.

Advantage ASTSpaceMobile

26.07.26 10:55
Both AST and SpaceX are competing for the direct-to-cell market.

But AST's architecture is purpose-built for standard smartphones, which gives it an edge.

Furthermore, the mobile network operators AST has agreements to collectively serve over 2.8 billion existing subscribers, giving AST a very solid distribution base.

Meanwhile, SpaceX's Starlink Direct-to-Cell competes here, but requires T-Mobile's spectrum and is still limited in capability. AST's 3GPP-compliant architecture works across carriers and geographies more extensively.

Clear Street Says AST SpaceMobile’s (NASDAQ: ASTS) 50% Drop From May Peak Is A Prime Entry Point Before Q2 Results

By Ewan Scott  Jul 24, 2026

Clear Street has recommended buying AST SpaceMobile (NASDAQ: ASTS) stock, arguing that its roughly 50% pullback from its May peak reflects temporary disruptions rather than any structural deterioration.

The brokerage said the selloff has been driven by disruptions involving third-party launch vehicles, not by lost customer contracts or a slowdown in demand for direct-to-device satellite connectivity.
Clear Street expects mobile carriers to increasingly adopt AST SpaceMobile’s technology as competition intensifies and operators look to retain subscribers by expanding coverage beyond traditional cellular networks.
