Handspring's new self-help community is built upon Participate Systems' hosted software, Participate Enterprise 3, which combines best-of-breed Self-Help, Expertise and Community management systems in one comprehensive collaboration platform. The Handspring Developer Community ( www.handspring.com/developers/index.jhtml ) is leveraging discussion forums, expert events, polling, ratings, search, and content subscriptions to provide independent developers a valuable new resource to learn more about the Treo 600 series smartphones. Using Participate Systems' rapid deployment methodology, the support community went "live" in less than 3 weeks.
