To answer your question, more buys than sells does not necessarily mean that the price will increase, and more sells than buys does not necessarily mean that the price will fall. This is because any trade that goes through is simultaneously the buying and selling of a stock; if someone is buying then someone must be selling, and vice versa.
The purpose of the trades page therefore isn't really to say whether a trade was a buy or sell but is to show whether the price was nearer to the bid price (then the trade goes in the sell column) or to the offer price (then the trade goes into the buy column).
At times, there will be trades that go through where the price is closer to neither the bid or the offer at the time the trade is reported. This could be for any number of reasons e.g. trade that takes place off the order book. In those instances the trade goes into the "?" column.
