WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. Expands Western Sales Force to Meet Business Growth

PENNINGTON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. (OTCBB:WWAT.OB - News; formerly WorldWater & Power Corp.), developer and marketer of proprietary high-power solar systems, today announced that it has expanded its western region sales force by adding three new regional sales managers.

Larry Slominski, WorldWater's VP of Western Regional Sales, said, "We've established an impressive record for engineering and installing large-scale solar power and pumping installations for water districts, farming and other commercial applications that save customers big-time on energy costs. The success of these projects has been largely spread by word-of-mouth and press coverage. We are expanding to meet the demand for our design and technology expertise in this fast-growing market."
David Brands joined WorldWater as Regional Sales Manager for Southern California and is based in San Diego. Brands was formerly Director of Sales for E-Village Solar in San Diego. He also has several years' prior experience selling residential and commercial solar systems in California and Alaska for companies such as DHS Solar Electric and United Solar Ovonic. Brands, a US Army veteran holds a BA from the University of New Mexico and an MA from Boston University.
David Hakim was named Regional Sales Manager for Central California and is based in Fresno. Before joining WorldWater, Hakim spent several years as a Pump Sales and Marketing Specialist for Rain Bird Corporation. Before that he held sales-engineering positions at companies such as Duff Co., Gardner Denver and Grundfos Pumps. Hakim earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and is E.I.T. accredited.
Maya Jones was appointed Regional Sales Manager for Northern California and is based in Sacramento. Jones had been a WorldWater sales representative for the past year and a half and earned the promotion through outstanding performance. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkley, with a degree in International Relations
