Yahoo shares slip on reports of search deal with Google

YHOO 23.25, -2.90, -11.1%) slipped more than 3% Thursday afternoon on reports that the company may announce a Web search deal with Google Inc.

The online version of the Wall Street Journal, as well as the popular TechCrunch blog, reported that the two companies were preparing to announce a deal involving Yahoo outsourcing some or all of its Web search activities to Google.
