4:10pm 12/06/01 AMD sees narrower Q4 loss, revs to rise (AMD) By August Cole
AMD (AMD) said Thursday it's still on track for profitability in the second quarter of 2002 and added that it expects a narrower fourth-quarter loss than the third-quarter results. Revenue is to rise at least 10 percent sequentially from the third-quarter level of $765.9 million. The strong results, the company said, have been driven by demand for its microprocessors. Flash memory sales, however, are likely to be little changed.
