ALUMINIUM PROGRESS REPORT ASX Release – 25 March 2011 AUSTRALIAN ALUM INIUM UPDATE • Salt pond construction underway • Approval of Cultural Heritage Management Plan for alternate site • On target for April plant commissioning US ALUM INIUM UPDATE • US expansion progressing positively • Landfill testing program underway • MHM close to determining site for plant construction • Engineering and permitting consultants appointed • Progressing discussions for government financial support, together with low interest financing initiatives for the project Salt Pond Construction rd On the 3 March 2011, MHM received planning approval for the development of brine storage ponds for a site on Hays Road, Moolap, Victoria. The approved site is owned by MHM CEO Frank Rogers, which has been made available to MHM to construct the ponds. The closed-loop landfill-free technology for which MHM has exclusive global rights produces three valuable commodities.

One is a blended salt brine solution that requires evaporation. Evaporation ponds are one way of recovering the salts. MHM plans to use the intended new ponds for an initial period but to be followed by installation of an instant salt crystallisation system.

This system will recover over 120 million litres of water each year from the Geelong operations. Instant salt crystallisation systems also enable MHM to establish salt slag processing facilities at sites where solar evaporation is not viable. As part of the pond construction process there was a requirement for MHM to provide amended documentation showing piping and overflow drainage details, together with an Environmental Management Plan.

These have been completed and finalised. Site surveying, fence removal and other preparatory work have also been completed. All permitting and approvals are in place.[...]

Hatte nach der letzten Meldung nochmal schön zu 1,015 AUD aufgestockt, nachdem der Markt null auf diese tolle Meldung reagiert hatte.
Heute Nacht kam dann im Business Spectator ein Artikel zu MHM.
Schön am Chart zu erkennen. War so ca. 14 Uhr Australischer Zeit.
Danach kam richtig Schwung in den Handel und MHM schloss bei 1,12 mit über +10%.

MHM Metals Ltd announced on March 25 that salt pond construction is underway at a site on Hays Road, Moolap Victoria, owned by MHM CEO Frank Rogers.

MHM plans to use the intended new ponds for an initial period but to be followed by installation of an instant salt crystallisation system that will recover over 120 million litres of water each year from the Geelong operations.

Instant salt crystallisation systems will also enable MHM to establish salt slag processing facilities at sites where solar evaporation is not available.

Approval has been received for the Cultural Heritage Management plan for an alternate site at 91-99 Hays Road Moolap, owned by Alcoa and leased to MHM for $1 per year.

The plant is on target for commissioning in April.

In the US, a landfill testing program is underway, with MHM close to determining a site for plant construction for Smelter Service Corporation's 350,000 tonne salt cake mono fill.

The testing program is designed to determine the recoverable portion of salt slag together with grades of aluminium, slat and aluminium oxide.

Work is ongoing, with recovered samples to be sent for testing.

MHM is also progressing discussions for government financial support together with low interest financing initiatives for the project.

MHM zieht sich aus Miyabi Goldprojekt zurück, es erfüllte nicht die internen Investitionskriterien. Kosten wurden mit nur AUD $41.000 angegeben.

So hallo an die verzweifelte,genervte oder gelangweilte deutsche MHM-Gemeinde !

(Sofern sie noch existiert ???)

Wie es scheint geht es nun endliiiiiiiiiiiiiiich nach ettlichen Verzögerungen  los in den USA :D

MHM befindet sich auf alle Fälle im Trading Halt und es soll Anfang nächster Woche (wahrscheinlich vor dem Handelsbeginn am Montag) ein Announcement zur US-Expansion geben.

Ich jedenfalls bin noch voll mit an Bord (und das hat mich die letzten Monate so einige Tage mit schlechter Laune gekostet) aber jetzt bin ich dann mal sehr gespannt, was denn nun konkret erreicht worden ist ?!

In den nächsten Tagen werden wir es erfahren !
