Central Office Colocation Facilities to Extend Network Reach

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 2000--Universal Broadband Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:UBNT - news), an
emerging integrated communications provider, Wednesday announced the interconnection of its Los Angeles
switching facility with MAE-LA and preparation for extended-area DSL coverage through co-located Pacific Bell
central office facilities.

UBN's switching facilities constructed at the company's Los Angeles network center have been commissioned,
entered into the Local Exchange Routing Guide national switching database and interconnected to circuits at the
Los Angeles Metropolitan Area Exchange (``MAE-LA'') Internet and Public Switched Telephone Network hub. The
switch and its associated network elements are operational.

According to Vice President of Network Architecture Louis DiGregorio: ``We are proud of the quality and redundancy
built into this network center and our two other local data and switching centers in downtown Los Angeles, which
represent the core and starting point of all future UBNetworks expansion. These facilities deliver the latest VoDSL
and xDSL communications services that are the focus of our bundled voice and data offerings.''

While the company presently can provide services only within a localized area in L.A.'s Wilshire District; beginning
this month, additional central office co-location facilities will be released to the company on a weekly basis to
rapidly expand both the geographic area over which services can be offered to customers, and the variety of
configurations and solutions available to Southern California businesses.

UBNetworks Granted CLEC Approval in Oregon

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 7, 2000--Universal Broadband Networks Inc.
(Nasdaq/NMS:UBNT - news), an emerging integrated communications provider, Thursday
announced that it has been granted approval to operate as both a facilities-based and
reselling Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (``CLEC'') in the State of Oregon.

The Oregon Public Utilities Commission order paves the way for the expansion of the Company's VoDSL, xDSL and
integrated communications network into Oregon as the company pursues its Western U.S. expansion plan.

Michael A. Sternberg, UBNetworks CEO, said: ``Delivery of our service in California is underway and we have been
granted CLEC operating authority in several other western states in our targeted expansion area. Tier II and III
markets in Oregon and Washington will host the initial growth of the network beyond California under our Phase 2

eastward toward the Mississippi as additional cities are brought online. Approval in Oregon is an important and
necessary stepping stone.
