On September 30, 2026, Rafael issued a press release "announc[ing] topline efficacy and safety data from its Cyclo Therapeutics, LLC subsidiary's pivotal Phase 3 TransportNPC™ study (CTD-TCNPC-301) evaluating Trappsol Cyclo™ (intravenous hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin) in 94 patients diagnosed with Niemann-Pick Disease Type C (NPC)." The press release said that "the result did not achieve statistical significance" on the primary endpoint.
On this news, Rafael's stock price fell $0.71 per share, or 34.98%, to close at $1.32 per share on September 30, 2026.
