PCCW to Announce Partnership With Taiwan

Pacific Century CyberWorks Ltd. (1186), Richard Li's Internet investment vehicle, will form a joint
venture with a Taiwan-based media company, said a person familiar with the plan. The Taiwanese
company will be one of the content partners of PCCW's broadband Internet service, known as
``NOW'', to be launched on June 29.
PCCW will hold a news conference at 4:00 p.m. Hong Kong time today to announce the partnership.
At 10:35 a.m. Hong Kong time, PCCW shares gained 1.32 percent or 20 HK cents to HK$15.35.
