Functional : Architect (Innovation, Generic, RFQ, application)Description :The FEA Engineer is responsible of FEA operations as a design tool on his R&D activities. He/she is responsible to deliver robust FEA work packages and deliveries. Based on FEA results analysis, he/she is accountable to deliver a robust design complying with [PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS]. The main missions are to:
For FEA ACTIVITIES on RFQs:
Develop and maintain tools / databases / processes to support efficiently RFQs
Define most appropriate & just necessary FEA inputs/outputs requested by RFQ analyses
Execute FEA operations using the validated Client FEA Tools & Methods
Validate and interpret the FEA results, writes and validates the FEA reports
Analyze compatibility between [PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS] and design concept, formalize deviations from [PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS]
Propose robust design concept to insure compliance with [PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS] by using FEA and expertises in close collaboration with design people
Support negotiations with customer on Client commitment on [PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS]
Define and negotiate FEA validation plan in line with application planning
Define and negotiate FEA Statements of Work (customer and suppliers) and costs
Participate to customer meetings to explain & present our RFQs deliveries.
Insure RFQ data transfer to FEA Pilot in charge of the application
For FEA ACTIVITIES on [PROJECT]:
If necessary, renegotiate input data with customer (FEA validation plan, [PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS], SOW, costs…)
Define most appropriate & just necessary FEA inputs/outputs requested by analysis & validation
Define and collect all data requested by FEA operations
Execute FEA operations using the validated Client FEA Tools & Methods
Validate and interpret the FEA results, writes and validates the FEA reports
Communicate FEA results/analysis to the [PROJECT] team, the customer and suppliers
Follow testing operations in order to correlate FEA/testings results, to set up relevant testings/measurements, to optimize efficiency/costs of testing & FEA operations.
Insure usage of capitalization data in his [PROJECT]
Insure tractability of all data and documents
Use FEA tools to optimize parts costs (design/process/materials)
Support [PROJECT] team to define and check FEA work done by suppliers
Propose robust design solutions to insure compliance with [PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS] by using FEA and expertises in close collaboration with design people
Deliver synthetic & efficient reporting (KPIs, results, action plans, issues, alert…) to his management
Participate actively and mandatory to key meetings (Innovation/Generics review, DPR, EFM,…)
Is responsible of quality/costs/planning/efficiency of FEA operations according to [PROJECT] needs
Ensure the [PROJECT] closure (archiving of relevant documents &data)
Run capitalization process @ end of his [PROJECT]
For FEA ACTIVITIES ON SERIAL LIFE:
When requested, define and execute FEA validation plan requested by design/process/materials changes (VA/VE, customer modifications, supplier resourcing…)

Required knowledge of LS-DYNA and HyperWorks
Required at least 4 years’ experience in FEA, preferably in automotive seating simulations.
