Maximus Discovers Significant Gold-Silver Mineralization at Chicago, Hope Bay Project 104 meter zone of stockwork-like gold-silver mineralization in hole #6

--------------------------------------------------

Vancouver. Maximus Ventures Ltd. announced today the discovery of a potentially significant zone of gold-silver mineralization in the Chicago area part of the Hope Bay gold project in Nunavut, Canada. The mineralization occurs near the stratigraphic top of a prospective felsic volcanic sequence, interpreted to be a similar geological setting to volcanogenic massive sulfide-associated gold deposits such as the Bousquet, La Ronde, Quemont, and Eagle mines in northwestern Quebec.

Highlights

Assay results from six diamond drill holes completed in the Chicago area of the Hope Bay Project have been received and the most significant result is a 104 meter intercept in hole #6, which averaged 0.19 g/t gold and 7.8 g/t silver starting at a depth of 136.5 meters. An upper zone, starting at 1.75 meters depth, intersected 34.75 meters grading 0.21g/t gold and 5.3 g/t silver. The grade of both intersections is consistent throughout and is associated with sericite and pyrite alteration of felsic volcanic rocks and associated quartz stockwork veins along with elevated levels of tellurium, and traces of copper and zinc sulphide minerals. Several shorter (1-5 meter long) intersections of similar mineralization in the other five holes drilled along the 1,200 meter Chicago trend in 2006 suggest the presence of a large gold-silver mineralized system, and work in 2007 will be focused on identifying higher grade portions of this system. The 2006 drilling was wide spaced with hole #006 located over 400 meters south of the nearest drilling, which leaves the mineralization open in all directions.

"The pervasive nature of the gold-silver mineralization and length of the intersections in hole #6 are striking," noted Francois Viens, Maximus' President and CEO. "The intersections are near the stratigraphic top of a thick section of felsic volcanic rocks, which is similar to volcanogenic massive sulphide-associated gold deposits such as the Bousquet, La Ronde, Quemont, and Eagle mines in northwestern Quebec." While the gold and silver grades intersected at Chicago are sub-economic, they may represent distal mineralization related to nearby higher grade volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits or stockwork feeder zones below overlying massive sulfides. "This is a relatively new exploration model for the Hope Bay gold belt," said Mr. Viens. "Maximus plans to follow up the encouraging intersections in hole #6 with additional drilling as soon as the Hope Bay camp is reopened in 2007."

Geologic Setting

The Hope Bay volcanic belt is an Archean greenstone belt with many similarities to other Archean belts in Canada, Australia and elsewhere. The Hope Bay volcanic belt hosts several major gold discoveries which are being explored by Miramar Mining Corporation (Miramar). In addition, the Hope Bay volcanic belt hosts felsic volcanic sequences which are prospective for volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits. The Chicago area is one of these felsic volcanic sequences and has been the focus of Maximus' 2006 exploration activities.

Volcanogenic massive sulphide gold deposits form on or near the sea floor as a result of hydrothermal activity related to volcanism. The styles of mineralization can vary dramatically from massive sulphides to disseminated and stockwork mineralization depending on the geologic conditions at the time of mineralization and any subsequent deformation and metamorphism. Variations in major and trace element contents of the host rocks in these systems may be used to vector an exploration program toward higher grade massive sulfide deposits and an extensive suite of whole rock analyses collected from the six holes drilled in 2006 will be used to assist with drill hole targeting in 2007. Additional geophysical surveys may also be used to aid in targeting.

Maximus plans to restart drilling at Chicago in late February or March 2007, when the Hope Bay camp reopens, and a minimum of four holes are planned to follow up on the results from hole #6.

Two maps accompany this release, one showing the location of the Chicago claim block and the second showing drill hole locations with the local geology. Additional drill targets are also being evaluated by Maximus on the Twin Peaks claim block.

Assay results

Six holes were drilled (1,463 meters) and results are summarized below. Maximus emphasizes that although the analytical results are sub-economic, they do provide exploration information of considerable importance.

The technical information in this release was prepared in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements set out in NI 43-101 and reviewed by John Wakeford, P. Geo. and Vice President of Exploration for Miramar. The analytical method for gold is by gravimetric assay, with metallic screen assays for all samples assaying over 20 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. The analytical method for silver is done by mass spectrometer and atomic emission spectrometer (AES) multi-element ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma). Any silver values reporting greater than 100 grams per ton (g/t) are re-analyzed and finished by atomic absorption method complete with appropriate standards. Assaying is done by ALS Chemex in North Vancouver. Check assays are completed by TSL Laboratories of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Blank samples and standards with known amounts of metal were submitted as part of the quality control process.

Property

The Chicago and Twin Peaks areas are two separate claim blocks covering 114 square kilometers and held under an option and joint venture agreement with Miramar. The option and joint venture agreement allows Maximus to earn a 75 percent interest in the Chicago and Twin Peaks claim groups. Terms of the agreement require cumulative expenditures and advances of at least $3,250,000 by April 30, 2007, $5,250,000 by April 30, 2008, and $7,250,000 by April 30, 2009 to complete the earn-in. Miramar has the option to buy back 25 percent after vesting by Maximus. Through December 2006 Maximus has advanced and spent $2,427,653 on the project. Field work is done by Miramar under contract to Maximus.

A significant portion of the 2006 drill program focused around the old Cheminis and Fernland mines. Results to date confirm the presence of historically identified resources in several zones at each of the mines with some potential to extend resources. In addition to the historically identified zones, several of the 2006 drill hole intersections occurred in parallel structures to those hosting the historically known zones. The historical zones at Cheminis deserve additional work to delineate the full extent of the resources and possible smaller high-grade shoots within them. In 2007, however, Maximus plans to drill approximately 10,000 metres to investigate the potential along the relatively unexplored parallel structures with indicated mineralization, one of which appears to control mineralization at the now-closed Kerr Addison mine (approximately 11 million ounces of gold produced at a grade of 0.29 ounce per tonne gold) located two kilometres to the east of the project property boundary. These parallel potential flow ore and carbonate ore units have been identified from 2005 and 2006 drilling on the property and offer significant exploration potential. Drilling is expected to commence later this month. Additional information on the Larder Lake drilling program is available from the previous news releases dated Dec. 6, 2006, Oct. 19, 2006, and July 18, 2006.

The technical content of the information related to Larder Lake has been reviewed by Martin Bourgoin, PGeo, who is responsible for supervising the drilling campaign and is the qualified person for Maximus under the guidelines of National Instrument 43-101.

We seek Safe Harbor.

Maximus Discovers High Grade Gold At Excelsior Springs, Nevada

--------------------------------------------------

Hole Ex-2 Intersects 9.8g/t Au over 6.1m within a wider zone grading 4.7g/t over 18.2m

Maximus Ventures Ltd is pleased to announce the discovery of high grade gold in its first drilling program on Excelsior Springs property, located in Nevada, USA. At a depth of 80 meters, hole EX-2 intersected 9.8 g/t Au over 6.1m. (0.32 oz/t Au over 20 ft) within a wider zone grading 4.7 g/t Au over 18.2 m (0.15 oz/t Au over 60 ft) which itself is within a 33m wide zone averaging 2.8g/t gold. The mineralized zone starts at 70 meters (230 ft) down the hole and is hosted by siliceous clastic sedimentary rocks. This intercept is considerably higher grade than any prior results from the property and represents significant discovery for Maximus that clearly warrants additional follow up. As a result of the very encouraging intercept in hole EX-2, Maximus has significantly expanded its property holdings through staking.

"This result is very encouraging" says Francois Viens, president and CEO of Maximus. "Even though this is only one intersection, additional results are expected shortly that will provide us with a better understanding of the geological controls of the mineralization. Maximus will follow up this exciting intercept with additional drilling once all the information is available. The presence of significant mineralization in the sediments opens up significantly the exploration potential of the area. The length of the mineralized intersection suggests the presence of a large mineralized system in the region."

Geologic Setting

Mineralization in the Excelsior Springs area is hosted in siliceous clastic sedimentary rocks with interbedded limestone that are cut by a complex zone of thrust faulting and intruded by small granitic dikes. The mineralized zone has been traced over a strike length exceeding 3km (2 miles) and averages about 330 meters (1,000 ft) wide. The target was disseminated gold in pyritized limestone in areas of strong faulting. Several zones of pyritic mineralization were intersected in other drill holes, but results from those holes are still pending.

The presence of mineralization in hole EX-2 within siliceous clastic rocks was unanticipated and these results increase the exploration potential of the area. Hole EX-2 was drilled near several small abandoned mine workings and old reverse circulation or rotary drill holes. Historic consultants' reports note significant intersections of gold mineralization in these historic holes drilled by previous exploration groups; however these holes were not drilled under the supervision of Maximus staff and therefore these historic data can not be verified or accepted as accurate by Maximus.

Drill Program

Maximus drilled a total of 9 holes in the area and the results from the remaining 6 holes are still pending (see map). Holes EX-1 and EX-7 located some 760m (2,500 ft) to the east returned no significant results (see table below). Holes EX-6 and Ex-8 are drilled respectively some 600m (2,000 ft) and 1 km (3,500 ft) to the east of hole EX-2. Holes Ex-3 and Ex-4 are drilled 180m (600 ft) to the west of EX-2 and holes EX-5 and EX-9 are drilled respectively some 750m (2,500 ft) and 1 km (3,500 ft) to the west of hole EX-2. The geology of the area is not yet enough understood to establish the relationship between all these drill holes. Results for the 3 holes for which results are available are tabulated below.

lt.

21.03.07 14:38
TORONTO, ONTARIO and LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 21, 2007) - Maximus Ventures Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:MXV - News) and NFX Gold Inc. (TSX VENTURE:NFX - News) are pleased to announce that diamond drilling has recommenced at NFX's Larder Lake gold project (the "Larder Lake Project") in Larder Lake, Ontario, Canada. This next phase of the diamond drilling program is scheduled for minimally 10,000 metres. The Larder Lake Project consists of the Cheminis, Bear Lake, and Fernland properties (all 100% NFX owned) and the Barber Larder property (75% NFX owned). Under the Option and Joint Venture Agreement between Maximus and NFX signed March 3, 2006, Maximus acquired the right to earn a 60% interest in NFX's share at Larder Lake by expending $6 million on exploration by December 31, 2008.

A significant portion of the 2006 drill program focused around the old Cheminis and Fernland mines. Results confirmed the presence of historically identified resources in several zones at each of the mines with some potential to extend resources. In addition to the historically identified zones, several of the 2006 drill hole intersections occurred in parallel structures to those hosting the historically known zones. Significant compilation work completed in 2006 showed the presence of parallel units of flow ore and carbonate ore similar to those containing mineralization at the Kerr Addison mine located some 2km to the east. Kerr Addison historical production exceeded 11 million ounces of gold.

In 2007 Maximus plans to drill approximately 10,000m to investigate the potential along the relatively unexplored parallel structures showing the presence of mineralization, one of which appears to have played a significant role controlling the mineralization at the Kerr Addison mine. These parallel structures combined with the presence of flow ore and carbonate ore units have been identified from the 2005 and 2006 drilling on the property and offer significant exploration potential. The drilling program started in mid-March, 2007 with one drill and should last until September, 2007. Additional information on the Larder Lake drilling program is available from the previous Maximus / NFX news releases dated February 7th 2007, December 6, October 19 and July 18, 2006.

Maximus is also pleased to announce the nomination of Mr. Bernard Boily as exploration manager. Mr. Boily has some 30 years experience and a strong background in exploration and exploitation, both underground and by open pit methods. Prior to joining Maximus, Mr. Boily was the senior geologist at Inmet's Troilus division. Mr. Boily will be responsible to manage and supervise all exploration activities for Maximus.

The technical content of the information related to Larder Lake has been reviewed by Mr. Bernard Boily, P. Geo., responsible for supervising the drilling campaign and is the qualified person for Maximus under the guidelines of National Instrument 43-101.

Mineralization Confirmed At Hope Bay Chicago Zone. Drill Results
In 2007 Improved Grade In Wide Mineralized Zone.
==================================================

Longueuil, June 28th, 2007.
Maximus Ventures Ltd. (TSX Venture Exchange: MXV) announced today the
results from the first three diamond drill holes on its Hope Bay
Project, located in Nunavut, Canada. The 684 meters drilling program
focused on the Chicago area as a follow up to test the extension and
continuity of the mineralized zone encountered in September 2006 in
hole #6 which intersected chloritized felsic volcanics with up to 15%
pyrite in stringers and returned 108m @ 0.2g/t Au. The first three
holes drilled this year (#10, #11 and #12) targeted the mafic/felsic
contact and provided some overlap with hole #6. The 2007 drilling
program began in April and was stopped on May 22nd due to snow and ice
conditions and was resumed on June 27th.

"The confirmation of the thick mineralized zone previously intersected

in hole #6, coupled with the presence of locally very high grades is
significant news for Maximus" says Francois Viens, President and CEO of
Maximus. "Now that the drilling has resumed after spring break-up, we
will follow up with drilling along strike to define the potential
direction and controls of the higher grade mineralization. We hope that
we are now vectoring in on the stronger, wider mineralization and that
could lead us to a significant mineralized system".

Chicago Zone
Hole #10, drilled on the same section as hole #6, was collared 130m
east and up-dip of hole #6 and encountered even stronger chlorite
alteration and locally more pyrite than hole #6, (over 140m with up to
15% pyrite). Assay results from hole #10 returned 0.5g/t gold over 82
meters, including two high grade gold intersections of 9.8g/t gold over
1.5m and 4.6g/t gold over 1.5m (see table below). This hole did not
reach the contact with the mafic volcanics due to drill rig limitation.
The wider intercept, stronger mineralization and locally high grades
are encouraging and suggest that the mineralization is strengthening in
this direction.

Hole #11, drilled on the same section as holes #6 and #10 and collared
125m east of hole #10, intersected the mafic/felsic volcanics contact,
which is marked by a narrow unit of bedded sediment or tuff, locally
weakly mineralized with pyrite. No significant mineralization was
intersected in the hole. It however confirmed the position of the
contact between felsic and mafic volcanics on the property and direct
exploration away from this area.

Hole #12 was drilled on a different section, approximately 115m south
of hole #6. As in hole #10, it intersected strongly chloritized and
locally pyritized felsic volcanics, but over narrower widths. A 53m
section in the hole yielded 0.2g/t gold. The hole was stopped
prematurely at 232m due to bad ice and snow conditions.

Hole # 11: No significant assay
--------------------------------------------------
- Silver assay results are not yet available and will be
announced at a later date.

The drilling program was stopped on May 22nd due to bad ice and snow
conditions and resumed on June 27th.

Since most of the samples in hole #6 returned anomalous gold and silver
values in 2006, Maximus decided to sample all remaining sections of the
hole. The results increased the thickness of the gold and silver
anomalous zones intersected last year by at least 25m and confirmed
that the top of the hole (first 36m) as well as the last 136m are
mineralized with gold and silver (see table).

The style of mineralization at Chicago is similar to the Bousquet
environment in Abitibi (gold-rich pyritic volcanogenic massive sulfides
or VMS). Preliminary whole rock lithogeochemical results on samples
collected from the 2006 drilling showed typical footwall alteration
proximal to a VMS deposit (low Na2O, high FeO and MgO). Furthermore,
although not yet economic, the anomalous gold values intersected on
Chicago are characteristics of those found close to the heart of
alteration systems associated with Gold-rich VMS deposits.

The next two holes will be drilled respectively 150m west of
(underneath) hole #6 and 125m north of the section on which holes #6,
#10 and #11 were drilled. It is well known that volcanogenic massive
sulfide deposits occur along geological contacts where they are
cross-cut by an alteration zone. However, at Chicago, the trend of the
alteration system is still unknown. These two additional holes should
provide us with vectors to focus the next holes of the program towards
the locus of intersection between the gold- mineralized altered zone
and the felsic/mafic volcanic contact where high concentrations of
sulfides can be found.

Twin Peaks and Discovery Zones
Drilling on the Twin Peaks-Discovery area will follow the program at
Chicago. The Twin Peaks -- Discovery area hosts numerous gold showings
that lie within zones of strong ironcarbonatization and/or
silicification. These are also associated with major and subsidiary
faults and with corridors of high strain or strong foliation. Gold
mineralization accompanied by anomalous silver, copper, lead and zinc
values, occurs in quartz-carbonate veins, along structures in highly
altered rock. The geological environment has strong analogies to a
Timiskaming-type model. The Twin Peaks-Discovery area therefore shows
good potential for large tonnage gold deposits such as those located in
the Porcupine or Kirkland Lake mining camps.

The technical information in this release was prepared in accordance
with Canadian regulatory requirements set out in NI 43-101 and reviewed
by Bernard Boily, P. Geo. and Exploration Manager for Maximus. The ana
lytical method for gold is by gravimetric assay, with metallic screen
assays for all samples assaying over 20 grams per tonnes (g/t) gold.
The analytical method for silver is done by mass spectrometer and
atomic emission spectrometer (AES) multi-element ICP (Inductively
Coupled Plasma). Any silver values reporting greater than 100 grams per
ton (g/t) are re-analyzed and finished by atomic absorption method
complete with appropriate standards. Assaying is done by TSL
Laboratories of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Check assays are completed by ACME laboratories from Vancouver. Blank
samples and standards with known amounts of metal were submitted as
part of the quality control process.

Maximus Update on Exploration Activities and Liquidities
==================================================

Follow-up exploration underway on the newly discovered high-grade gold
zones at Larder Lake

Longueuil, Quebec: September 6, 2007. Maximus Ventures Ltd. ("Maximus")
(TSX Venture Exchange: MXV) is pleased to announce that follow-up
drilling has commenced on the newly discovered high-grade gold zones at
the Larder Lake Project located in Ontario, Canada, and provide an
update on its other exploration activities.

Larder Lake - Ontario, Canada

The first phase of follow-up drilling on the Larder Lake project
consists of four drill holes located respectively 150m up-dip,
down-dip, east and west of hole #11 intersections (10.4g/t Au over
5.2m, including 20.8g/t Au over 1.5m, and 13.3g/t Au over 6.0m,
including 18.6g/t Au over 4.2m). The objective of the four drill holes
is to evaluate the area around this newly discovered high grade gold
mineralization and test for potential extensions. The first hole should
reach its target depth at the end of this week and assay results are
expected to be available by month-end. All four drill holes should be
completed by the end of October. Based on the assay results, additional
drilling may be carried out to further investigate and potentially
increase the size of the mineralized zones.

Agreement

The Larder Lake Project consists of the Cheminis, Bear Lake, and

Fernland properties (all 100% NFX owned) and the Barber Larder property
(75% NFX owned). Under the Option and Joint Venture Agreement between
Maximus and NFX signed March 3, 2006, Maximus has the right to earn a
60% interest in NFX's interest at Larder Lake by expending $6 million
on exploration by December 31, 2008.

Unity Gold Project - Warren, Idaho, USA

Due to the numerous forest fires raging in the area of the Unity Gold
project, Maximus was unable to begin the exploration program on the
high-grade gold Unity Project in August as planned. The forest fire
situation has now greatly improved and contractors will visit the
property in early September to evaluate the rehabilitation work
required in the Unity Mine adit prior to starting a planned underground
drilling program. The first phase of work at Unity is planned to
include rehabilitating the Unity adit in order to carry out 1,400
meters of underground drilling to test the lateral and down-dip
extensions of the very high grade Little Giant and Rescue gold veins.
The objective of the work program planned for Unity is to complete, as
soon as possible , a feasibility study to evaluate the economic
viability of reopening the Unity gold mine.

Agreement

Maximus, through its wholly-owned US-based subsidiary, Walker Lane Gold
LLC (Walker), can earn a 60% joint venture interest from Unity
GoldSilver Mines Inc. by spending US$1.0 million in exploration and
development work on the property and by completing a positive
feasibility study on or before November 30, 2010. Targeted expenditures
are US$250,000 in 2007, US$350,000 in 2008 and US$400,000 in 2009.

Hope Bay Project - Nunavut, Canada

A total of 2,620m of drilling (11 holes) were completed at Hope Bay,
exclusively in the Chicago area. The drill program tested the
continuity and extent of a large gold-silver alteration system (hole#6:
0.2g/t Au over 108m and hole#10: 0.5g/t Au over 82m) in order to locate
potential higher grade gold-silver shoots. All holes intersected
alternating sequences of felsic tuffs and flows locally cut by gabbroic
dykes. In general, holes are moderately sericitized and/or chloritized
with locally up to 5-10% pyrite. However, an increase in alteration and
mineralization is seen towards the north, indicating a possible vector
in that direction. To date, only 5% of the assay results have been
received and a total of 989 are still outstanding. They should all be
received by the end of September. The drilling at Chicago is now
completed. Maximus will wait until all the assay results are received
and compiled to plan additional drill holes at Hope Bay.

Agreement

Maximus' Hope Bay Project comprises two separate claim blocks (Chicago
and Twin Peaks) held under an option and joint venture agreement with
Miramar. The agreement allows Maximus to earn a 75% interest in the
Chicago and Twin Peaks claim groups. Terms of the agreement require
cumulative expenditures and advances of at least $3,250,000 by October
30, 2007, $5,250,000 by October 30, 2008, and $7,250,000 by October 30,
2009 to complete the earn-in. Miramar has the option to buy back 25
percent after vesting by Maximus. At the end of July 2007, Maximus has
spent over $4,000,000 on the project.

Liquidities

As previously disclosed, the Company currently has an amount of $4.8
million of its $5.4 million in cash and equivalent invested in Canadian
asset-backed commercial paper ("ABCP"). The remaining $0.6 million is
held in available cash. The Company continues to monitor the ABCP
situation and will provide updates as to the impact on the Company of
any new development in this regard.

In order to ensure that no disruption occurs on any of its exploration
program in the short-term, the Company has entered into a temporary
line of credit in the initial amount of $1.0 million. Such financing is
secured by the Company's ABCP investment. Given the current rate of
expenditure, the Company believes that it has sufficient cash available
to meet its current financial obligations. The Company is also actively
evaluating various other financing options and, if successful, does not
intend to utilize the line of credit. However, there can be no
assurance that the Company will be successful in securing such other
financing option, in the event that they become necessary.

Maximus Discovers Another High Grade Gold Zone at NFX's Larder Lake Property
Thursday November 1, 10:06 am ET

Hole 13 intersects 13.1 g/t Au over 6.0 m in the Fernland Area Mineralization confirmed in the Bear Lake Area

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC AND TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 1, 2007) - Maximus Ventures Ltd. ("Maximus") (TSX VENTURE:MXV) and NFX Gold Inc. ("NFX") (TSX VENTURE:NFX) are pleased to announce the discovery of a new high grade gold zone at the Larder Lake Gold Project. Hole #13 cut 6.0 m of flow-type mineralization grading 13.1 g/t Au, including a 3.0 m section grading 19.9 g/t Au, at a depth of 160 metres below surface. This intersection, located in the Fernland area, is open down-plunge for at least 600 metres and laterally for over 300 metres. It is on the same favourable geologic horizon as the recent Bear Lake discovery, 2.3km to the east, where intercepts of 10.4 g/t Au over 5.2 m and 13.3 g/t Au over 6.0 m in hole #11 were reported in a press release dated August 16, 2007. (Visit Maximus web site www.maximusventures.com for our corporate presentation and figures).

Furthermore, assay results have been received from two of the follow-up holes drilled around the high grade gold zones intersected in hole #11 in the Bear Lake Area referenced above. Hole #15, drilled 50 metres down-plunge from hole #11, intersected 1.2 g/t Au over 5.5 m followed by 7.0 g/t Au over 4.1 m. Hole #14, drilled 75 metres up-plunge from #11, also intersected both zones with the upper zone grading 0.5 g/t Au over 8.9 m and the lower zone averaging 0.5 g/t Au over 7.0 m. Results from holes #16, drilled 70 metres east of hole #11, are still pending and hole #17, drilled 50 metres west and below hole #11, is currently in progress.

Follow-up drilling to date on the Bear Lake gold zone has confirmed the continuity of the gold mineralization and the lower grades intersected in holes #14 and #15 demonstrate that both high grade and low grade shoots are present within the mineralized area. Additional drilling is required to define the strike, dip of these mineralized zones, and to further define potential higher-grade lenses. Typically, this style of mineralization in the Larder Lake area can be deeply seated and higher-grade gold mineralization within each of these gold shoots generally starts at a vertical depth of approximately 400 to 500m. The presence of albitized high iron mafic and/or ultramafic rocks is a common feature for the gold-rich lenses, which were also present in the high-grade gold zones at the nearby Kerr Addison Mine located some 6 km to the east.

While a limited number of additional holes could be drilled from the shores of Bear Lake, detailed definition drilling will be better achieved from the ice this winter and a second drill is expected to start working in January 2008. While waiting for the assay results of the two follow-up holes (#16 and #17) at Bear Lake, the drill will relocate to the Fernland area to carry out follow-up drilling laterally and down-plunge of the newly discovered high-grade mineralization.

"We are pleased with the recent results from Larder Lake," stated Francois Viens President and CEO of Maximus. "The discovery of this new high grade mineralization at Fernland confirms the potential for the multi-kilometre long geologic sequence to host a series of high grade gold deposits. The Fernland discovery is also very shallow compared to the usual high-grade mineralization found in the area. In combination with the Bear Lake discovery, our results so far suggest the possibility for a highly prospective gold camp".

Larder Lake Property

The Larder Lake Project consists of the Cheminis, Bear Lake, Fernland and Barber Larder properties (all 100% NFX owned). Under the Option and Joint Venture Agreement between Maximus and NFX signed March 3, 2006, Maximus has the right to earn a 60% interest in NFX's interest at Larder Lake by expending $6 million on exploration by December 31, 2008.

As part of its QA/QC program, Maximus carries out check assays on the high-grade intersections with no discrepancies found in the assay results. The turnaround time for the reception of assay results from the lab has been very slow since September, due to the very large amount of samples received with the end of the field season. The situation is gradually returning to normal.

The technical content of the information related to Larder Lake was reviewed by Mr. Bernard Boily, P. Geo., responsible for supervising the drilling campaign and qualified person for Maximus under the guidelines of National Instrument 43-101. The analytical method for gold is one (1) assay-ton fire assay, AA determination with gravimetric finish on all samples reporting over 2 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. Assaying is done at Laboratoire Expert Inc. in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. The quality control process includes inserting blank samples and certified standards within each batch sent to the laboratory.

Two New High Grade Intersections

Wider than Previously Reported at Fernland and Bear Lake Claims of the Larder Lake Property

Marketwire

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 6, 2007) -

NOT FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES.

NFX Gold Inc. ("NFX") (TSX VENTURE:NFX)and Maximus Ventures Ltd. ("Maximus") are pleased to report that additional assays from previously announced drill holes NFX07-13 and NFX07-15 at the Larder Lake Property indicate that the "flow-ore" style mineral intersections are wider than previously reported in each hole. Hole NFX07-13 at Fernland was reported (Nov. 1/07) as intersecting "flow-ore" style mineralization grading 13.1 gpt Au over 6.0 m. Additional analysis indicates that this high grade intersection occurs within a wider zone of the favourable "flow-ore" horizon that grades 6.9 gpt Au over 13.5m.

Similarly, hole NFX07-15 at Bear Lake was reported (Nov. 1/07) as intersecting "flow-ore" style mineralization grading 7.0 gpt Au over 4.1m. Additional analysis indicates that this high grade intersection previously reported also occurs in a wider zone of the favourable "flow-ore" horizon that grades 3.9 gpt Au over 10.7m. Although lower grade, the length times grade indicator for the wider zone of mineralization adds confidence the zone is continuous down-plunge.

Fernland

At Fernland, hole NFX07-13 was drilled down-plunge from two shallower holes completed in 2006. The 2006 holes, NFX06-05 and NFX06-16, are spaced approximately 200 m along strike of each other and contain intersections of "flow-ore" mineralization at vertical depths of 90m and 140m, respectively. The grade of the "flow-ore" intersections in each hole is 1.56 gpt Au over 9.55m and 1.27 gpt Au over 12.7m, respectively. The success of hole NFX07-13 by intersecting high grade "flow-ore" mineralization between these holes at a vertical depth of 160m demonstrates an improved geological understanding of the geometry of the mineral zones and the importance of diligent follow-up drilling of lower grade intersections.

A series of six drill holes are planned at Fernland to follow-up the high grade "flow-ore" intersection in hole NFX07-13 and delimit the lateral extent and continuity of the zone along the indicated steep southeast plunge. The drill has moved from the Bear Lake property to commence the follow-up program at Fernland while Maximus completes sampling, assaying and compiling results from four follow-up drill holes completed at Bear Lake.

Bear Lake

At Bear Lake, 2.5 kms east of Fernland, two new high grade intersections in hole NFX07-11 were previously reported (Aug 15/07). The first intersection in hole NFX07-11 was reported as carbonate style mineralization grading 10.4 gpt Au over 5.2 m. The second intersection in hole NFX07-11 was reported as "flow-ore" style mineralization at the south sedimentary contact grading 13.3 gpt Au over 6.0 m. Additional analysis indicates the high grade "flow-ore" intersection previously reported in hole NFX07-11 occurs within a wider zone of the favourable "flow-ore" horizon grading 8.0 gpt Au over 10.1m.

Four follow-up drill holes have been completed in a relatively close spaced pattern (50-75m) surrounding hole NFX07-11. Results were previously reported (Nov 1/07) for two of the four holes, namely, NFX07-14 and 15 drilled up and down-plunge, respectively of hole NFX07-11. NFX07-15 drilled approximately 50 m down-plunge from NFX07-11 successfully intersected the higher grade "flow-ore" mineralization in a zone originally reported as grading 7.0 gpt Au over 4.1m. Additional analysis indicates the high grade intersection occurs in a wider interval of mineralization that extends into the sediments at the south contact. The entire intersection of continuous mineralization is longer than originally reported (Nov 1/07) grading 3.9 gpt Au over 10.7m.

The results from the three carbonate style mineral intersections in holes NFX07-11, 14 and 15 at Bear Lake are typical of the variable gold concentrations encountered in the carbonate style mineralization of the Larder Lake deposits. The "flow-ore" style mineral zones characteristically demonstrate better grade and continuity than the carbonate style mineral zones and are therefore the primary targets for follow-up drilling.

Thomas Larsen, President and CEO of NFX states, "I am extremely pleased that hole NFX07-15 at Bear Lake has confirmed that "flow-ore" gold mineralization is continuing down-plunge from the high grade "flow-ore" intersection in discovery hole NFX07-11. The style and grade of the mineralization are typical of the world class Kerr-Addison orebodies located only 5km east along the same geological structure.

The new high-grade "flow-ore" intersection at Fernland, 2.5 kms west of Bear Lake, occurs at a relatively shallow depth in comparison to historic "flow-type" intersections of similar grade and demonstrates the potential for discovering additional high-grade ore shoots along this 8 kilometer long geologic sequence across the Larder Lake Property".

Maximus is conducting the drilling program pursuant to the Option and Joint Venture Agreement between Maximus and NFX, whereby Maximus has the right to earn a 60% interest in NFX's 100% interest at the Cheminis, Fernland, and Bear Lake claims and 45% interest in NFX's 100% owned Barber Larder claims that comprise the Larder Lake Property by expending Cdn$6 million on exploration by December 31, 2008. Results of planned drilling program at Fernland will be released when available. Although several high grade assays have been intersected, there is no stastistical basis for cutting to a lower value at the present time.

The technical content of this press release has been reviewed by Alex S. Horvath, P.Eng, NFX Gold Inc. and Bernard Boily, P.Geo., Maximus, both qualified professionals according to NI 43-101 guidelines.
