Atlassian: Eine Aktie mit Potenzial

08.10.18 17:24

Microsoft, however, is more than happy to overlook Atlassian's dalliances with the competition and enjoys integration with Jira Cloud, Bitbucket Cloud and Confluence Cloud in its collaboration and communication product. Jira Server has now been added to the list......

Atlassian in hot sector

..Atlassian (TEAM 111.77, -0.65, -0.58%), is a cloud software developer focused on creating collaboration platforms for organizing, discussing, and completing shared work. Hence the ticker symbol TEAM. TEAM has been gaining new customers at a fast clip and it has been active on the M&A front, recently acquiring OpsGenie, which has developed a platform that enables companies to better plan for and respond to IT service disruptions.

A key initiative is that TEAM is doubling down on supporting the needs of IT teams. Serving IT departments is an adjacent market TEAM has been serving for years yet the company feels it has barely scratched the surface of this significant opportunity. Also, just this past Monday, Atlassian announced it will acquire AgileCraft,y a provider of enterprise agile planning software. AgileCraft helps companies build and manage a ‘master plan' of their most strategic projects and workstreams. On the new product front, TEAM recently introduced Jira Ops, a unified incident command center for IT teams to coordinate response and resolution. Alongside other offerings, these two products (Jira Ops and OpsGenie) support TEAM's efforts to deepen its focus on IT teams.
Where it is similar to SMAR is its lofty valuation. It has a current P/E above 130x and a price/sales above 20x.

What to Watch When Atlassian Reports Earnings Next Week

"Growing like a weed
For the fiscal second quarter, which ended Dec. 31, Atlassian reported revenue of $299 million, up 39% from the prior-year quarter. This soared past the company's forecast and analysts' consensus estimates, which came in at $289 million and $288 million, respectively. This was also particularly impressive in light of the fact that it came on top of a 43% year-over-year jump in Q2 18. The most significant gains came from subscription revenue, which grew to $153 million, up 56% from the year-ago quarter, while maintenance revenue increased 21% to $97 million.

It wasn't just revenue that posted remarkable growth. Net income of $62 million increased by 93% year over year, resulting in adjusted earnings per share of $0.25, nearly double the $0.13 achieved in the year-ago quarter. This performance got a boost from a 25% adjusted operating margin, a 300-basis-point increase from this time last year.

Operational metrics were robust as well, as the company added 6,551 new customers, bringing the running total to 138,235.

Atlassian (NASDAQ: TEAM) is an Australian-based company that excels in stickiness. When we asked our head of development about Atlassian's products, he signified that they have both.

Nearly all (98%) customers who spent more than $50K with Atlassian in fiscal 2017 remained on as customers for 2018. Furthermore, over 90% who spent at that level purchased three or more products, implying that their tools are extremely complementary and, after a while, difficult to move away from.

Farquhar co-founded Atlassian with Mike Cannon-Brookes, in 2001. It wasn’t until 2010, though, that the company raised its first major venture round ($60 million from Accel Partners). The territory has the makings to become a world leader in clean energy generation and export, said Jeremy Kwong-Law, investment manager at the tech billionaire's Grok Ventures. He highlighted that hydrogen and solar power transmission via subsea cable were the two clearest pathways to tap the huge Asian market.----
Cannon-Brookes - who was ranked sixth on the Australian Financial Review Rich List for 2019 - has emerged as a prominent advocate for clean energy and in 2017 famously challenged Tesla founder Elon Musk to build the world's largest lithium battery in South Australia.

Atlassian Looking ahead

29.07.19 17:22

Atlassian provided the following guidance for the first quarter of fiscal 2020:

Revenue between $349 million and $353 million, up 31.3% year over year at the midpoint.
Non-IFRS gross margin of 86%, and non-IFRS operating margin of 21%.
Non-IFRS earnings per share of $0.24, compared with $0.20 in the prior-year period.
For the full year, Atlassian expects:

Revenue between $1.540 billion and $1.556 billion, up 27.9% from fiscal 2019 at the midpoint.
Non-IFRS gross margin between 85% and 86%, and non-IFRS operating margin of 20%.
Non-IFRS earnings per share of $1.00, compared with $0.86 in fiscal 2019.
With Atlassian expecting to surpass $1.5 billion of revenue in fiscal 2020, it's inevitable that the company's growth rate will slow. But there are still plenty of opportunities for it to win new customers and to move existing customers to the cloud.

"Productivity software provider Atlassian (NASDAQ:TEAM) reported its fiscal fourth-quarter results after the market closed on Thursday. Just as they did in the third quarter, non-cash charges hit its bottom line. But for the period, which ended June 30, both revenue and adjusted earnings grew at strong double-digit percentage rates. Here's what investors need to know.
What happened this quarter?
Atlassian's net income on an IFRS basis was diminished by a $156.3 million non-cash charge resulting from marking to fair value the exchange feature of the company's exchangeable senior notes and the related capped calls. An additional non-cash charge of $54.7 million was due to the writedown of Atlassian's deferred tax assets.
The company ended the quarter with 152,727 customers on either an active subscription or a maintenance agreement. The company added 8,689 net new customers during the quarter.
Subscription revenue was $180.9 million, up 50.4% year over year.
Maintenance revenue was $105.8 million, up 20.8% year over year.
Perpetual license revenue was $22.8 million, up 5.2% year over year.
Other revenue was $25.1 million, up 47.5% year over year.
Atlassian had cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments of $1.7 billion at the end of the quarter.
Operating cash flow was $117.7 million, and free cash flow was $98.2 million. Free cash flow was up 52% year over year.

Motley Fool : new.nasdaq.com/articles/...ans-soaring-stock-price-2019-08-19
One stock that has been on fire over the past 12 months is Atlassian (NASDAQ: TEAM). The productivity software specialist's stock has surged more than 80% during this period, crushing the S&P 500's paltry 3% rise during this same time frame. The rise reflects impressive momentum during the company's fiscal 2019, for which Atlassian reported its final results late last month.

Here's a look back at some of the key metrics in Atlassian's fiscal 2019, capturing its strong growth during this period.
1. Revenue increased 37%...
2. Non-IFRS operating income popped 44%....
3. Free cash flow skyrocketed 50%....
4. Non-IFRS earnings per share soared 69%
5. More than 150,000 customers
6. Expect fiscal 2020 revenue of at least $1.54 billion
In its fiscal fourth-quarter and full-year earnings release last month, management initiated strong guidance for fiscal 2020, guiding for revenue during the period to be between $1.540 billion and $1.556 billion. The midpoint of this guidance range represents 28% year-over-year growth. Though this would mark a meaningful deceleration, management's guidance typically proves to be conservative.......

Within our universe of comparable cloud software companies in the SME/mass market segment, Atlassian typically ranks in the top 3 when it comes to valuation metrics like EV/Sales and P/FCF.

As solid as its fundamentals and key metrics such as FCF per share and OCF per share are, its price/share has increased by more than 56% YTD.

There are two key things we look at before we invest in any technology company in the cloud software market: solid vision and robust growth. For any company having both, we are ready to pay a premium and to hold the stock forever. Atlassian (NASDAQ:TEAM) is one of such companies available in the market today. When we look at the fundamentals of Atlassian and add in all the intangible values, the premium valuation makes sense to us.

beim Report
1.Continued strong revenue growth is key
One of the hallmarks of Atlassian's success has been its ability to continue its strong revenue growth, and investors will be expecting more of the same. In its fiscal Q1 (which ended Sept. 30), the company reported revenue of $363 million, up 36% year over year, while making easy work of management's guidance range, which topped out at $353 million. Even more importantly, subscription revenue continued its relentless climb, up 50% year over year, to $201 million.

Atlassian's management is forecasting another strong quarterly performance, expecting revenue in a range of $386 million and $390 million, which would represent 30% growth at the midpoint of its guidance. The company is likely being conservative with its forecast, especially considering its practice of exceeding its own guidance, only to raise its outlook for the full year -- exactly what it did last quarter.

2. Growing adjusted profits
For the first quarter, Atlassian delivered adjusted net income of $70 million, up 42% year over year, resulting in adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.28, a 40% increase compared to the prior-year quarter.

While its profits are still expected to climb, management is signaling slower growth for the current quarter. The company is guiding for adjusted EPS of about $0.27, an increase of about 8% year over year. Management is also forecasting its adjusted operating margin will edge down to 22% from 25% in the year-ago period....."

ALLEN Investierten viel Erfolg !

Bernstein mit neuen Bewertungen auch zu Atlassian

www.fool.com/investing/2022/07/20/...sian-stocks-just-popped/

30.07.22 10:33
Atlassian (TEAM) is expected to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2022.
This company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.26 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +8.3%.
Revenues are expected to be $717.84 million, up 28.3% from the year-ago quarter.
For Atlassian, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +1.92%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.

So, this combination indicates that Atlassian will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.....

....Facing a slowdown, most companies choose to cut back on growth plans. However, Atlassian is doing quite the opposite. It believes it can reach $10 billion in annual revenue in coming years, up from $3 billion in trailing-12-month revenue. And it views the broad economic slowdown as its key opportunity to get ahead. Specifically, Atlassian believes it can dominate its market by hiring the best people. And whereas competitors are cutting spending on their workforces, Atlassian is hiring.
