Anlageziel des Fonds ist, die Netto-Kurs- und Renditeentwicklung des Morningstar® Global Wide Moat Focus Index nachzubilden. Hierzu verfolgt der Fonds die Anlagestrategie, in ein Portfolio von Aktienpapieren zu investieren, das - soweit möglich und praktikabel - aus allen oder im Wesentlichen allen im Index enthaltenen Wertpapieren besteht. Der Index setzt sich aus weltweit von Unternehmen emittierten Wertpapieren zusammen, die nach Einschätzung des Indexanbieters ein attraktives Verhältnis von Fair Value und aktuellem Kurs aufweisen sowie über nachhaltige Wettbewerbsvorteile verfügen.
