The Silverado property is in the Pinto Mining district and consists of 169 claims situated at the southern end of the gold-rich Battle Mountain-Eureka Trend in Nevada.
Barrick\'s Archimedes Mine (the Ruby Hill Mine) is located 12 miles to the northwest and the recently discovered (11.8 grams per tonne gold over 65 ft.) Staccato Gold Resources is located 8 miles to the west.
The Pinto District, historically a silver-lead producer with production dating back to 1885, is geologically similar to the nearby Eureka Mining district. Recorded production is approximately 53.6 tonnes (1.65 million oz) of gold, 1,200 million tonnes (39 million oz) of silver and 283,575 million tonnes (625 million lbs) of lead during the period 1866-1964 (Nolan and Hunt, The Eureka Mining District, Nevada: USGS Prof. Paper 406 78 p). The more recent discoveries of Carlin-type gold deposits in the district have spurred renewed interest in the potential of the area.
The Silverado project is underlain by mainly mid-Paleozoic carbonate rocks of the Nevada and Devils Gate limestone formations. Minor exposures of Joana Limestone, Pilot Shale and Chainman Shale occur on the range front and on the pediment under thin alluvial cover. Rocks in the district have been deformed by a series of thrust faults which have in turn been folded into a series of north-south trending anticlines and synclines. Later, normal faulting has added to the structural complexity of the district.
Mineralization occurs as irregularly shaped carbonate-replacement deposits. Silver values up to 23 ounces with significant lead and zinc values are reported from grab samples on old workings in the area. Additionally, potential for Carlin-type gold mineralization similar to Barrick\'s Archimedes deposit, 12 miles to the northwest, exists on the range front where rocks typical of Carlin-type host rocks (Pilot Shale and Chainman Shale) have been mapped by USGS geologists.
Reconnaissance mapping and detailed rock sampling will commence immediately to identify alterations and gold-indicators associated with known altered zones associated with gold on both the Silverado and the Hot Dog Ridge/TKO properties near Ely.
The 100-per-cent interest of the 169 claims (subject to a 3-per-cent net smelter return royalty) is being acquired from James Marin and Tim Neal for $20,000 (U.S.) and the issuance of 300,000 free trading common shares of Molycor Gold, subject to a four-month and one day hold period from the date of issue. Detailed sampling and mapping is continuing on all of Molycor’s Nevada properties to identify gold and silver bearing structures.
When conditions allow, Molycor will be sending crews to the Beaverdell Silver property to expand the VLF (Very Low Frequency) survey and extend the cross-overs that were identified last season. The Beaverdell Silver Property consists of 27 reverted crown grants that are owned 100% and located 1-4 kilometers southeast of Beaverdell, British Columbia. Eight of the crown grants have had intermittent past production, the largest being the “Wellington”, Lot #2621, which was most active from 1920-1954. Production from the Wellington was 8003 tons producing 1,507,393 ounces silver, 1,456,185 lbs zinc, 960,482 lbs lead and 367 ounces of gold. (MINFILE Assessment Report 16772) The claims also adjoin Teck Cominco’s Highland Bell Mine which produced (from 1913 to 1991) a total of 34,594,385 ounces of silver as well as significant copper, gold and cadmium. The Highland Bell and Molycor’s properties are hosted within the Wallace granite, which is cut by quartz veins characterized by high silver content. Mineralization is composed of galena, sphalerite and pyrite with lesser amounts of arsenopyrite, tetrahedrite, pyrargyrite, chalcopyrite, polybasite, acanthite, native silver and pyrrhotite.

A total of 32 samples were taken by the prospectors. The samples listed in this news release were taken from various locations on the property and includes sample numbers TN008 and TN009. Both are 20 ft semi-continuous chip or grab samples, approximately 140 feet apart. Assays were conducted by ALS Chemex in Reno, Nevada, using industry standard methods, quality assurance and control procedures.

The diamond drill program will consist of 5 vertical holes up to 350 (1150 feet) meters in depth located up to 1.5 kms north and east of the Central zone, within the geological structured setting of hornblende-biotite clinopyroxenite and gabbro/diorite (BC Geological Survey file map 2001-14).
The proposed holes are located on induced polarization geophysical targets and geochemical soil targets completed in 2005.
The drill holes are located to intersect the platinum group mineral contained within the lower basement of the structure. Previous diamond drill programs performed by the Companies have identified two zones, the Kenny Zone and Central Zones, both with significant intercepts of platinum/palladium/copper. Results as follows:
The Central Zone from previous diamond drill hole #97-21 includes 111 meter (364.1 feet) averaging 0.19% Cu, 0.410 g/t Pt, 0.352 g/t Pd, including a 15 meter (49.2 feet) section grading 0.54% Cu, 1.31 g/t Pt, and 0.949 g/t Pd. (*News release dated Nov 06 1997*) In 2000, the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Geological Survey performed litho geochemical sampling on diamond hole 97-21 and sample #GNX-60-1, which gave values of 3.32 g/t Pt and 2.65 g/t Pd. (Nixon, G.T., 2001: Whiterocks Mountain Alkaline Complex, Geology and PGE Mineralization, Geological Fieldwork 2000, Paper 2001-1).
The Kenny Zone diamond drill hole program located within 500 meters (1640 feet) west of the Central Zone returned values from DDH-03-2, a 6.1 meter (20 feet) section assaying 0.15% Cu, 0.39 g/t Pt, 0.26 g/t Pd, which included a 3.05 meter (10 feet) interval grading 0.63 g/t Pt, 0.44 g/t Pd and 0.19% Cu.
A drilling contract has been awarded and the drill program will commence in early September.
