NEW YORK -- The dollar rose against the pound and euro Tuesday morning after Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan offered a somewhat more positive assessment of the U.S. economy.
However, the dollar was little changed against the yen.
Shortly before 10:45 a.m. EST, the euro fetched 92.06 U.S. cents, falling sharply from 93.18 U.S. cents late Monday. The pound traded at $1.4501, down a bit from $1.4529 late Monday. The dollar bought 117.42 yen, little changed from 117.45 yen late Monday in New York.
