   The first post in this thread was from you, saying that
something was going to happen on August 31, and that you
would tell us what that thing was after it happened,
presumably on September 1.  I was only noticing that you
hadn't followed through on what you said you'd do, and
instead had only written, "This is a witness against
everyone on this newsgroup."

   Now you write, "Since when do I post prophecies, other
than end of the world ones?"  Are you now saying that you
are taking back your promise to tell us the thing that you
said was going to happen on August 31?  Or are you saying
that the thing that happened August 31 was a witness against
everyone in this newsgroup, with no more specification than
that?

   Just looking for some consistency and followthrough from
you.  I am interested in what happened on August 31 that
fulfilled your premonition of August 30.  Or has it not
happened yet, and you are going to tell us after it does,
whatever the date?

Also wenn das mit den daten stimmt, dann ist hier was überfaul!

Kann natürlich auch ein Spinner sein, der mit seinen Prohezeihungen nur "Glück" hatte!

Aber wenn der wirklich etwas wußte, warum spricht er dann im Internet darüber?  

Ich glaube das war nur einer der üblichen Spinner, wie es sie zu tausenden in Amerika gibt. Die wollen nur provozieren und sich in den Mittelpunkt stellen. Aber wenn er glück hat, landet er auf einer Suchliste vom F.B.I. Denn dort wird regelmässig das Internet direkt von Suchmaschinen nach Begriffen wie "Middle East", "Terror", "Nukes" ect. durchsucht. Wenn er glück hat trifft er irgendwann den netten Herrn Moulder. Das ist übrigens keine Erfindung von mir, das ist Realität und teilweise wie man sieht auch berechtigt.  

Nur das Datum macht mich stuzig !

die werden das sicherlich überprüfen, und dann sehen sie, ob es ein Spinner war, oder ob er etwas mit der Sache zu tun hatte.
Oder schick den Link an die Presse, Spiegel oder STern oder sonst was größeres.

Das Datum ist einfach zu verdächtig!

Am 4.9. nur eine wage Ansage, daß am 11. irgendwas passiert! Und am 9. um etwa 8:10 wird er dann deutlicher und verflucht alle möglichen Feinde!
Zu dem Zeitpunkt waren die Flugzeuge gerade in die Luft gegangen!

Da kann man wohl nicht von Verrat sprechen! Für mich war das eine offizielle "Kriegserklärung" eines Eingeweihten, der aber keine Details verraten wollte!

Diese Newsgroup - man ahnt es anhand des Namens - wird gemeinhin von Menschen frequentiert, denen die Drei-Tage-Wettervorhersage für die Zukunftsplanung nicht reicht: Sie wollen mehr wissen. Die "Nostradamus"-Gruppe bietet hier Futter im Überfluss: Da wird orakelt, da werden Verschwörungen ersonnen.

Einer der fleißigsten Poster ist "Xineohpoel", der immer wieder mit apokalyptischen Vorhersagen auffällt. Am 4. September 2001 gelang ihm angeblich der große Wurf: In einem schlicht "911" überschriebenen Posting soll er das Desaster von New York vorhergesagt haben. "Ich bin jetzt sieben Tage weg", schrieb Xineohpoel, "dann werdet Ihr sehen, was ich meine". Das ist für viele Menschen echter Gänsehaut-Stoff. Sieben Tage, daraus ergibt sich der 11.9. 2001. Der wiederum wird in der amerikanischen Datumsschreibweise "9.11." geschrieben - "911", die Betreffzeile des angeblich am 4.9.2001 verbreiteten Schreibens.
Die Diskussion darum entbrannte bereits am Dienstagabend. Doch bis Mittwoch sollte es dauern, bis sie richtig in Schwung kam.

Dafür gibt es einen einfachen Grund: Bis Mittwoch dominierten in der Nostradamus-Newsgroup die Stammbesucher - und die kennen Xineohpoel. Und sie kennen ihre Newsgroup, und wie diese funktioniert: Das ursprüngliche Posting Xineohpoels sagte tatsächlich eine wie auch immer geartete Katastrophe voraus - und zwar für "morgen".

Nur war das bereits am 31.8.2001.

Das Gerücht einer erfolgreichen Vorhersage bezieht sich hingegen auf ein hämisch rückfragendes Posting am 4.9.2001, was denn nun aus dem Weltuntergang geworden sei. Dieses Posting wird nun herangezogen, um zu beweisen, dass die Katastrophe von New York tatsächlich vorhergesagt worden war.

Die "Füllung" durch die vagen, sicherlich in Rückschau aber unheimlichen Nostradamus-Zitate mit den "Twin Brothers", in denen viele nun gern die WTC-Türme sehen wollen, leistete Xineohpoel hingegen erst am 11.9.2001 als Deutung der eigenen diffusen "Vorhersage" vom 4.9.2001.

Das brachte den Stein erst richtig ins Rollen

Fast umgehend begann die Diskussion darum, ob Xineohpoel nun wirklich ein Prophet sei oder vielleicht sogar in den Anschlag verwickelt. In mehr als einem Posting ranzte man ihn an, er solle langsam den Mund halten: FBI und CIA würden sich schon an seine Hacken heften.

Selbst das dürfte Xineohpoel nicht unlieb sein - es trägt zu seiner Legende bei. Schnell verband er noch die Katastrophe von New York mit einer Prophezeiung des kommenden Weltuntergangs - und verabschiedete sich am 11.9.2001 angeblich "für immer" aus seiner Stamm-Newsgroup.

Dort herrscht keinerlei Sorge, er könne nicht wiederkehren.

Denn viele Stammgäste von alt.prophecies.nostradamus sind sich völlig darüber im Klaren, mit wem sie es zu tun haben. In einem seiner letzten Postings legte Xineohpoel offen, woher er seine Eingebungen bezieht: Von Sollog.

Und Sollog, sagt Xineohpoel, "ist Gott".

SPIEGEL ONLINE: Warum macht er im Augenblick so verhältnismäßig konkrete Aussagen? Er schwört, Osama Bin Laden sei unschuldig, vielmehr habe Satan persönlich seine Hände im Spiel. Er muss wissen, dass seine Prophezeiungen jederzeit durch harte Fakten entkräftet werden können. Warum setzt er sich der Lächerlichkeit aus, wenn er doch Geschäfte als Seher machen will?

Altman: Sollog hat aus irgendeinem Grund immer versucht, die größtmögliche Öffentlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit zu erreichen. Dieses Ereignis ist für ihn eine einmalige Gelegenheit. Sie sollten übrigens wissen, dass Ennis vor Jahren vom Geheimdienst festgesetzt wurde, weil er Bill Clinton bedroht hatte.

Der mit mehreren Preisen ausgezeichnete Journalist Howard Altman ist Redakteur des "Philadelphia City Paper". Seine teils bitter-bösen, teils skurrilen Kolumnen aus der Zeit der Auseinandersetzung mit Sollog finden sich im Archiv der Zeitung. Unbedingt lesenswert: der Prozessbericht "Heavenly Justice" und die Glosse zum großen prognostizierten Prominentensterben "Cunningham's Curse". Seine Erfahrungen mit der gewalttätigen Seite Sollogs machte auch Kenneth Reich von der "Los Angeles Times".

Auch, ob Sollog wirklich nur die Einzelperson Ennis ist, oder ob eine ganze Gruppe von Leuten, die den Gott als "Marke" führen, dahinter steckt, ist längst nicht geklärt: Ennis ist jedoch offensichtlich der Erfinder. Doch auch ein "J.P: Essene", "Hisam H'asi", "Tony DiPaolo", "Nick Ensley" und "Leo Phoenix" werden als "Inkarnationen" gehandelt. Dreht man den letzten Namen um, landet man bei Xineohpoel. Ob diese Namen für echte Personen stehen oder bloße Alias-Namen sind, die Ennis führt, ist ebenfalls ungeklärt.

Unwahrscheinlich ist dieser letzte Fall nicht: Bisher sind von John Ennis 81 E-Mail-Adressen bekannt - Er liebt das Versteckspiel.

Werbung mit Weltuntergangsvisionen

Sollog/Ennis betreibt mehrere, teils kommerziell orientierte Websites. Alle seine Seiten vermarkten seine Bücher, die angeblich auch Käufer finden: Unter anderem bringt Sollog eine eigene Nostradamus-Übersetzung und -Interpretation heraus. Die Seite, die nach ihm benannt ist, gehört jedoch seinem Verlag: Vieles deutet darum darauf hin, dass die verschiedenen "Sollog"-Aktivitäten in den Newsgroups nichts anderes sind als Marketing. Gut möglich auch, dass zu irgendeinem Zeitpunkt Ennis als führende oder alleinige Sollog-Figur "unter Kontrolle gebracht" wurde.

Indizien
Bis 1998 fiel Sollog immer wieder durch die wüste Beschimpfung von Kritikern bis hin zur zweideutigen Bedrohung mit "unabwendbaren Todesfällen" auf. Sollog/Ennis stand vor Gericht, weil er angeblich absichtlich einen Polizisten überfahren wollte und wurde zu mehreren Gelegenheiten als potenziell gefährlicher Choleriker von Polizei und Geheimdiensten überprüft - unter anderem wegen Bedrohung des damaligen Präsidenten Bill Clinton.

Diese Phase endet mit dem Antritt einer mehrmonatigen Haftstrafe Anfang 1998. Sollog bestand fort - als Buchautor und Website. Alias-Identitäten wie Xineohpoel sammeln in den Newsgroups Jünger - und Käufer für Sollogs Bücher.

Seine Methode ist dabei immer dieselbe. Robert Todd Carroll, Betreiber des Skeptic's Dictionary und nicht der beste Freund der Ufologen und Propheten dieser Welt, erklärt die Methode anhand einiger Beispiele aus dem Jahre 1999, das Sollog ursprünglich als Weltuntergangsjahr propagiert hatte. Seitdem verhielt er sich relativ ruhig:

"Sollog sagte voraus, der Papst werde am 15. Oktober sterben und Bill Clinton am 13. November (gemeint ist 1999, Red.). Tatsächlich behauptet Sollog nun, diese Prophezeiungen seien 'erfolgreich' gewesen. Er habe natürlich Anton Lavey, den Satanisten-Papst, gemeint. Und begann der Impeachment-Prozess gegen Clinton nicht am 15. November 1999? Ein Impeachment sei doch wohl eine perfekte Allegorie für einen politischen Tod".

Damit hätte sich Sollog in beiden Fällen nur um wenige Tage vertan - das ist verzeihlich. Gebräuchlicher ist bei Sollog aber eine erheblich keckere Methode: Er korrigiert einfach die Vergangenheit, indem er seine Prognosen erst nachher stellt oder nonstopp prophezeit und diejenigen herauspickt, die dann irgendwann irgendwie "treffen".

Das tut er mit verblüffendem Erfolg. Den Beweis dafür finden Sie vielleicht, wenn Sie das nächste Mal Ihre E-Mails kontrollieren.

Doch selbst wenn Sollog Sie immer noch überzeugen sollte: Ein Grund zur akuten Panik ist das nicht. Erst in 13 Jahren wird die Welt untergehen, sagte er am Dienstag voraus, und ein Viertel von uns wird überleben. Wer dann Zeit und Lust hat, den Meister persönlich zu treffen: Er erwartet seine Jünger meditierend in der Wüste von Nevada.

Die ist zwar groß, doch dürfte es kaum ein Problem darstellen, Sollog/Xineohpoel/Ennis oder wie er auch gerade heißt zu finden: Laufen Sie einfach den anderen Millionen Gläubigen hinterher.
